why is the company sponsoring him
what is the training all about
why is he the one that the company is sending

My brother graduated in 2015 and got a job with maritine society of nigeria in the same 2015. His current salary is 450k . Now, he want to go for a maritine training in the states .
MY questn is this ; what are his chances of getting the visa, considering the fact that his only tie is his job and he is still single. HE is in his earlly 20's too .

Your brother stands a great chance. I am single and I got an American Visa. He should be able to justify why he picked the states for the course and that he will come back. (this he can show by hisb roles and responsibilities at work)

Do you know how long the training will last it the nature ?
My colleagues have gone to America on a training that lasted for weeks, days etc in a B1B2 Visa, sponsored by my Office. Infact I have lost count of the number of beneficiaries, but well above hundred and at different periods. Purpose of visit clearly disclosed to the VOs and so far, nobody has ever been denied (both singles and married) All went and are back successfully, many more are prepadvise to go next.

Wetin carry F visa come here , let's try and advice based on what we know not what we assume please.

I really need to change my profession, 450k per month salary kai. Back to ze matter:
1. Its good that folks from his company have gone to the US for the same training and come back, it should count for something.
2. He will be asked some questions, e.g. why the US?, what he intends to do after the training?, why was he picked? etc. He should also be weary of tricky questions such as "what will you do if you get a job in the US?", "What will you do after the training?", "what will you do if you win the lottery in the US?".
3. He should be confident and bold, and look into their eyes.

But why am i not seeing those dates now, the least i can see is Jan 2.

Its better. Imagine landing in the US with your Immigrant Visa. Imagine the boldness you will have, the CBP officer knows that you are legal immigrant, while another person will be nervous, you will be bold knowing that you have done the right thing. We are not against immigrating to the US, but we are for doing it properly.

Your question is not clear. What do you mean by another application other than the one you use to pick your date. Rephrase this question.

1. Who is this Family friend of yours.
2. What does He/She do for a living.
3. When and How did the so called Family friend get to the States.
4. Be Sincere

we have not travel as a family after the refusal. And my other question was some changes need to be done on my application forms which I used to pick date for the interview so I had to fill another one so can I use the new one for my interview? That is I want to use another application forms different from the one I used to pick interview date because there was a little error in the previous one

If you really want to spend the Xmas in the states, then you can choose a date in Abuja, as the current available date is December 18, 2017. hence you can make the trip in a way.

I think your brother have a good job and earning good salary, this is good as part of requirement for the visa. He is single, in his twenties (I see a young promising man with great future). The only tie is his job. He would get the visa if he can defend himself very well during the interview. He should be ready to defend is job duties, what the training is all about, what benefit the training will add to his career. Is it his company that want to sponsor the training? Best of luck.
