I just thank God for rohr's life, na here for nairaland dem for bury am today, dudes let's just keep more positive on this team than the negatives, just one goal then, the eagles were already buried here on nairaland.

The only two major downsides of today's game was the keeper and ola aina, those who feel elderson's time is over should rethink and I think it's safe to go with at least two defenders who were at the last world cup, omeruo and elderson. even musa we can't discard, we need some experience going into this world cup with the young talents at our disposal. we already have an experienced mikel in the midfield and with onazi too we should be fine.
I said give this man time ,give him time. He's doing in a year what westerhof did in four years . Is he the best?no.let's just give him time.
Its better we don't overly criticize any player. This guys might not be the best but they are have desire, passion, hunger.

Kayode was introduced 5 mins to the End of the Match! He barely touched the Ball though, coz the Team was in defensive mode!

Rohr's intention has been noticed. He will not give him a call again. Goodluck to Kayode. May the good grace of the Lord be with him and favour him.

We no see the Nwakali wey dem deceive us say na Onazi like for like. Egunje don change hand. grin

I don't think so,with what Ebuhei and Idowu displayed today and with Abdullahi and Aina,he can't make it,just too glaring.

I think I got it right this time, including Idowu in my 35-man WC list.

When we talk of a classy team, we are talking of a team who not just dominates the game but has a history of high possession. A team that plays a possession-heavy style. Chelsea was not that kind of team.

My best of Chelsea remains Ancelotti's time. During that period, Mikel Obi was the best passer in the Premier League. Even higher than Paul Scholes. Unfortunately, Abramovic disrupted the balance of Ancelotti's team and later sacked Ancelotti.
I think Ancelotti wasn't sacked per se

He came in as a make shift coach to cover till the end of the season and didn't get his stay extended the both times he was at Chelsea

let others do the shooting abeg, onazi gives the team more balance, remember how France finished us after onazi went off in the last world cup

Onazis position is still under contention, we have so many players that can play that role better than him and its clear we have started seeing it, he need to up his game. same goes to balogun he is unusually slow and will find it hrd to stop fast wingers. aina case is still been looked into, he is not even as fast as echiejile but idowu might be better than both, only time will tell who is gonna make it to worldcup.

You needed to see how I was wandering about tirelessly in search of where I could watch the game.

I usually enjoy watching games from the comfort of my living room. But today had to be the day PHCN refused to restore power, and the Gen was recently stolen.

I was all downcast when I saw we were a goal down, then 2. It took Nacho's well taken freekick to put a smile on my face.

It was all worth it in the end. gringringrin

Ogu has shown he is not in the team just to make the numbers. He sat back with Ndidi. Something I expected. Now I bench is beginning to prove a point, and it doesn't matter who ends up in bench. As Safarigirl said every player must at least kick a ball before Russia.

Who remain? Nwakali and Agbo . Onyekuru and Kayode needs more time. They should plan a 3 day get together in December, and maybe we can play any assembled team or something. How about SE vs Naija based in UK?

All through the qualifiers, we were always the first to score, we never really got the chance to come from behind.
In the Afcon qualifier where we went down to SA, we could not recover.

This team showed alot of character and fighting spirit to come from 2goals down today.

Expect big things from this team.

The Argentines were overwhelmed by the intensity with which we played the game.

That intensity that saw us go over Algeria, Zambia and Cameroon.

After they scored their two goals they took one foot off the gas believing they will have an easy run for the remaining 90mins.

By and large note that in 3 out of last 4 friendlies we have had to come from behind: Corsica, Senegal, Argentina. Meaning the team has a come back spirit.

Exactly thank God for some moniker like goodjoe for believing in exercise patience

Club coaches is different from country coaches.. You can get players of your choice that's one of the reason top managers perform very well...

Always remember Alex Ferguson tenure as man Utd manager first season he finished at the middle table.. Before things started working out...

We just need to give him time.. Tagging him with different name won't work atleast he deserve our respect ,with the so called technical genius coaches they could not achieve what this man achieved with his " strength " (team strength )though he has his own weakness...then he rather concentrate in his strength than his weakness ...

All this alloy Agu should go or get sacked I don't believe it... I was watching their training on twitter alloy was the one doing majority of the drill whereas the foreign coach was assisting him... We should give this technical term respect they deserve it..

If you think it's easy to take up supee Eagle job.. Lars lagerback would have stayed, Paul leguen (don't mind my spelling) would have taken the job..

We should not be over confidence about this win... It stil a work in progress...
I'm happy we are fine tunning our bench...

God bless Nigeria

Well, Akpeyi messed himself up by himself. His lack of composure again consumed him like a flame. Uzoho showed more confidence, though the defense became more composed after a tension soaked first quarter of the game.I no know why dem dey fear Argentina like that.

Rohr would have selection issues with the full backs.
He will have to make tough decisions as to who to drop.

Brian Idowu is ahead of Echiejile and Aina. I fear for Echiejile more so that he is not a versatile player. Players who are versatile are more sought after in modern day football.

In Shehu and Ebuehi our RB problem has been sorted out. Aina could also be given a shot at RB. But having 3 RB at the WC? Hmmm....At least one will need to drop.

Balogun had another slow start today. Ekong seems to have become the leader of the defense.

Iheanacho is a fighter. He played as though he was 2 players in one. Iwobi is pure class. No doubt an asset to this team. And of course Mikel remains the chief orchestrator.

Ndidi had a great game Ogu was a bit quiet but he covered his own part of the pitch especially in the second half.

The 3-4-3: This set up will definitely not favor the natural wingers as they will now have to fight for shirts with the RBs. Baring any injuries Moses is more than likely to be accommodated leaving one spot for the Full backs to play as wing backs.

Mikel-Iwobi-Iheanacho combo is a partnership that works.

Overall, a great game.

For those doubting Rohr's tactical abilities to lead this team in the WC, I think he has proven a lot tonight.

Congratulations Nigeria.
Dem fear true true. This win will give them that mental boost.its now stored in the tram's consciousness: we did it against Argentina

Akpeyi, I'm sorry but when next we're about to camp, I'd travel all the way to South Africa, pay off one of your teammates to injure you, just to make sure you don't even cross the mind of the coach at all.

These are the importance of friendly games, I doubt Rorh would ever make those drastic changes in a competitive game even though he knows what to change.
