Nigerians calling me out lol! Listen kid, there are Nigerians and there are Nigerians. So that's not an escape for u neither is calling me Augustine escape. I won't let this pass. Did u hear me? Cowards! That u and ignoramuses here don't know international relations don't mean I'll let it adorn nairaland.

Everything I write is continually validated here day by day only insolent-proud-I-too-know humans here act about it with f.oolery yet go behind to steal points and quote it by other terms here. I have talked on regional powers, what it means and the coercive measures it can bring to bear by various means. So, you are clearly not getting it. Because u're a kid I'll tell you again, now u cancel and remain mediocre as ur retort indicates or sit at the foot of the teacher and learn:

Long story short, you see what happened or is happening in SADC won't happen in ECOWAS, period. Why? Because an Hegemon exists: Nigeria. The states know Nigeria has the military threat dimension which don't necessarily have to be used but just the fact it exists brings Nations into acquiescence of the hegemon. I could draw you a scenario of measures Nigeria could employ in Zimbabwe to determine the outcome it wants and would it act yes it would. Failure to act makes it weaker. That's a regional power. It surreptitiously, covertly, overtly, economically or militarily determines the fate of nations under it's sphere of influence.

AK and indeed others I remember has been drawing for blood in Zimbabwe to show your military might now he's singing a different tune. Next time when a Nigerian talks y'all should just shut up and acknowledge whose your boss. That's the fact.

Here you are babbling nonsense. You think after all the noise you southies make of your capabilities condescending on us at every turn and the opportunity presents itself to prove it and you failed again I'll swallow it hook line and sinker, nah, imma call you out so it's documented. Where's your shiny Gripens? but alas the Zims know you have no combat capability. You can't fight. If you were a threat those Generals would dare not do what they did knowing the consequences. What happened in your backyard won't happen here and everyone knows it but the bias of ur media cousins especially bbc would have us read a different narrative to make SA still appear relevant in power dynamics but would never give Nigeria it's due. No, you are not.

One phone call from a Nigerian General and any officer planning a coup in sub-Saharan Africa will think twice and stand down.

I can't continue to indulge a kid. Oya cancel and get a jolt to your veins. The point has been made. SA military power and regional claim only exists on paper. Covert has been validated again and will be validated again.

So happy that the light is starting to shine at the end of the tunnel...

But, god, if Dlamini-Zuma wins, I reckon thats it. Curtains for RSA.

If Dlamini-Zuma wins, I will personally sell my belongings and jump ship from Satafrika grin

But I have hope in private sector South Africa, they'll always find ways to detach from South African current affairs eg the building of private cities like Styne City and Waterfall City.... You'll simply move to the west coast and build a series of private cities there and probably create a private government system based on economic efficiency with mini defence capabilities. You could literally ditch the Rand and trade with crypto currencies and the dollar. The ANC and it's supporters seem to be clueless about that part of the country so you could literally pull off.

You constantly beg to be taken seriously - "I am a military analyst", "I am a spy" (Posts photos of "spy uniform" and "gun"wink "I work with top USAF fighter pilots" - examples of your prior infantile ramblings. The ramblings of a sad little man, whos stutter has given him an inferiority complex which he desperately tries to compensate for online.

Its hard not to, when someone makes the argument that one country should invade another - without any legal justification to do so - so that they may show how "tough they are".

To all intent and purposes what is happening in Zimbabwe is a coup. Putting your commander-in-chief under house arrest is a coup. Under AU statutes there is a legal justification for intervention whether through diplomacy or other instruments of international pressure.

So why did you bring in Nigeria. Any case fact is yes South Africa does not have a massive difference in power over SADC. It not due to a weak South Africa but a strong SADC with multiple big hitters like Angola, Tanzania, Zambia, extra.

Now concerning Zimbabwe, fact is people either don't care about a coup, are happy for it or even support it.

So far there is no justification for a intervention in Zimbabwe. No call for aid or any human right violation.

It has been close to 24 hours, it does appear that:
a) The A.U. having not come out forcefully to declare this a coup are in a wait and see mode.
b) Whatever Political credit Uncle Bob had with PJZ has been used up over the years and deep down really want him gone .
c) Nigeria's position as articulated by PMB while stressing the need for respect for the constitution, has not exactly called for Uncle Bob's whereabouts .
d)In a bitter twist of Irony , the President of Botswana and outspoken critic of Uncle Bob announced he was stepping down at the end of his tenure, it now appears Uncle Bob beat him to the punch.

Zimbabwe military chief was in china last week,How strange! grin grin grin grin

A trip to Beijing last week by Zimbabwe’s military chief was a “normal military exchange”, China’s Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday, after the military in the southern African nation seized power.
Zimbabwe’s military took control targeting “criminals” around President Robert Mugabe but gave assurances on national television that the 93-year-old leader and his family were “safe and sound”.
General Constantino Chiwenga met Chinese Defence Minister Chang Wanquan in Beijing on Friday, where Chang expressed a willingness to promote relations with Zimbabwe, China’s Defence Ministry said in a short statement last week.
The ministry showed a picture of the two men, both wearing military uniform, shaking hands, and another one of officers from both countries sitting opposite each other holding a meeting at the People’s Liberation Army headquarters in Beijing.
Asked whether Chiwenga had briefed China on plans to seize power, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said the Defence Ministry had already released information about his trip and that he didn’t have an understanding about the specifics of his reception in China.
“I can only tell you that his visit to China this time was a normal military exchange mutually agreed upon by China and Zimbabwe,” Geng said, referring other questions to the Defence Ministry, which has yet to respond to a request for comment.
“As a country that is friendly with Zimbabwe, we are paying close attention to developments of the situation in Zimbabwe,” Geng added. link http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/news/Zimbabwe-military-chief-China-trip-normal-visit/539546-4187684-7vmgeb/index.html

So far there is no justification for a intervention in Zimbabwe. No call for aid or any human right violation.

Now you make a good point speaking of the countries you mentioned. We might just throw in Namibia they are not exactly a push over. I expected that from you though as I've been wanting a southie to be objective, no! I don't mean the ignoramuses on here bragging about none existent capability which is why I call them out for documentation. People should be held accountable for their comments here when the chickens come home to roost. Patch and Ak & Co. along with their chief jingoist have long spoken of an invasion of Zimbabwe even when I told them at pains SA can't and won't do it but instead of learn what they don't know they resort to insults and cheap escape.

Speaking of the situation in Zim right now, military intervention will lack home support in Nigeria or elsewhere as Mugabe has become odious. However soldiers welding political power in Africa today upends AU statutes justifying an intervention by other means which will come by relevant stakeholders.

As you have pointed the strengths of the SADC member nations validates my point de jure that SA' regional influence as touted exists only on paper and not in practicality. Nigeria, is de facto the regional hegemon in West & Central Africa for which a different scenerio would have played out. In this case Nigeria will still intervene one way or the other not to prop up Mugabe but to establish constitutional order which is in our national security interests having been prone to coups in the past. The AU has that clause for a reason.

Not even the most haphazard, backyard coup is plotted over a week. And in this day and age, if information/orders needed to be passed by China he didn't have to be physically there. Plenty of covert ways.

Hell they were even sending ravens in Game of Thrones, no need to ride to Castle Black cool.

He is saying that the China link may be a dead end because if you are planning a coup the last thing you do is travel to that country and meet those parties infront of the worlds media and before the eyes of your own president.

Its 2017, they could have organised the coup via twitter grin grin
