Think of it as trying to build a pyramid from the top down.....Government has all these wonderful transformation targets for our national teams but they do fvckall to develop the game at grass root level. You can't expect your National team to be 50% players(and coaches) of colour yet only around 15% of all registered rugby players are Black/Coloured.....but you still expect the team to be picked on merit.

Another thing that irritates me is the fact that all Currie Cup, Super Rugby and even some internationals are only broadcast on Super Sport(DSTV) and never on SABC which means the majority of South Africans never get to watch rugby on their TVs and thus there is almost no interest in Rugby from the majority of Black South Africans.

In a perfect world where the Government and SARU actually did their job, our Rugby(and even our Cricket team) would be 70-80% Players of colour and we would dominate like no country has before, If we can win 2 world cups with less than a fifth(20%) of our potential talent pool imagine what we could do with 50-60%.

That makes sense. They should start by creating capacity at the grassroots of black communities then. But on the broadcast issue you might be wrong. Even the EPL is not broadcast on BBC. That should be left to sports channels or else your sports and politics will get irreparably entangled.

Happy super eagles day to every one on the thread I bet u

Probably won't get this type of joy from winning a race or playing rugby grin

Congrats to your team for winning that friendly. Though I must say your win had little to do with how well you played but rather how badly Argentina did.

World Ranking: Number 12
Africa Ranking: #2

If not for Kenya and SA, Africa would be just another backwater in Rugby. Notice the kind of gap that exists between the two countries and other countries in Africa in terms of rugby professionalism.

Kenya and East-Africa’s longest zip line tour in Kereita Forest, Kiambu County.

This Flying Fox experience stretches over 2.2 kilometers of forest, making it longer than the World famous Zip 2000 of Sun City, SA , and is possibly also the longest in Africa.

Believe me, I expected nothing less from you. You can only feel good about your country by choosing to see the worst in others. Kenyans will always be Kenyans and Nigerians will always be Nigerians each wanting and deserving the best for they're countries. Why can't you see that?

No I'm not all over you. Infact I respect you and what you're doing for the image of Kenya on this thread just I don't agree with doing it at the expense of pointing out all that is wrong with each others country.

I tell you....

"2.5 million" shocked is no joke ooo

I mean thats bigger than some countries population.

One of them claimed kibera is just 200,000.Even at that, it's frightening. And yet you never see them condemn their backward society. The same individual was raising Gabon which enlightened people know is just another failed African country as a country doing well because it has a hdi that's quite high but doesn't reflect in the lives of it's populaces . The truth that seems to elude them is that there is hardly a sub Saharan African country doing well.

The arguments won't stop infact the competition is needed to keep both countries on their toes. But I believe Constructive criticism and enlightened arguments are what is needed rather than some of the hateful and painful comments and counter comments we indulge in.

Epl is broadcast on Super sport in SA but our domestic league the PSL is broadcasted live on SABC, yet our domestic rugby and cricket leagues are only shown on super sport.......I understand foreign leagues being broadcast only to paying customers since it takes millions of Rand to buy the broadcasting rights.

Brother, you are trying to reason with insecure folks. Many Nigerians here and elsewhere have openly criticized Nigeria for the lot of the suffering masses. Call my attention when you see a Kenyan do the same and argue with a fellow Kenyan in that line. cool

Yeah, I'm sure if Kenya beat NZ or Australia or England and the likes in Rugby Union (never happening), you'll be TOTALLY focused on how bad the opposition were.

I'm offended someone is trying to compare Nigeria with Kenya when the difference is so obvious to anyone. Life in Kenya is several orders of magnitude better than it is in Nigeria.
