bounty007: Kai! Smh. E don be for una. You people have sunken so low to the point of celebrating over an igbo man acquiring property in Yorubaland?? Wetin make Dangote people come do for Kano as e dey build dat super expensive refinery for the same Lagos? Dem for declare public holiday because e get cement factory wey propel am into becoming the richest African in the same SW (Ogun state). Wetin go come happen if igboman buy property for Dubai Odiegwu oo. Seriously, it seems that Lagos may actually be one of the major impediments in the way of SE development, seeing how you people prize property ownership in the state at the expense of your own collective pride as a people. Come, I repeat, no be only igbo people own property for Lagos ooo. Lagos doesn't give a flipping fvck who you are or where you are from, it will collect your money and use it for further development. #Fact Whatever Ojiakor may have paid for the said property has already been captured as a sale with profit. It would have probably cost him way lesser than the amount paid if he had chose to build a replica of the property in the east rather than on reclaimed land at Eko Atlantic. But then again, who can blame him? Smart people invest in Lagos/SW. Therefore, on that account, I can't blame the guy. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

laudate: Go and build it and he will buy it from you as he did with this one ...You think somebody should just pour billions into a building whee it is not needed ... Yes he should contribute to the development of his state but not in the capacity of wasteful spending or investment... Anambra doesn't need this edifice for now The corporate group to rent it are not there and back home in my Anambra everybody is a developer so who is going to stay in your own and pay you the king of rent you get in Lagos Dangote businesses are not in Kano but Lagos and middle belt ...Atiku biggest investment are in the Niger Delta and Orjiako major money spinners aare not in Anambra but Niger delta and Lagos state ... Get real, this is billions of naira not 20 million naira |
Re: ABC Orjiakor Buys Eko Atlantic Afren Tower by laudate: 6:52pm On Nov 15, 2017 |
Nodogragra4me: You are still missing the point. If everyone from your region, diverts their money into buying towers and properties outside Ala Igbo, how will your region develop? For every naira invested by your people outside your region, the benefits remain within those places, and do not accrue to your people, neither does it help in developing your region. If you do not make your region attractive enough for investment, so that the Dangotes, Ojiakors and Atikus decide to do business there, who loses eventually? Figure it out. Lagos, Kano and Delta will continue to reap the benefits of their investment, and your people will keep crying about marginalisation, and claiming that Lagos is developed, while your region remains backward. 6 Likes |

laudate: It is not Orjiako that will make it attractive... Fine building is not what investors are after but infrastructure and the policy framework ...If Anambra has an airport , a sea port and other incentive then you can look to her people to do Niger investment than just building industries |

IkpuMmadu:My state? Guy, if anyone from my state decides to invest this kind of money in Lagos or PHC or Abuja, without making efforts to invest a corresponding amount of money back home, my people go swear for am. We would not line up on NL and be clapping for him, or hailing him as the first person to buy a tower in another man's land, when his own place is not half as developed as the place where his tower was sited! That is the difference! 5 Likes 1 Share |

Nodogragra4me:It is not only airports that make a place attractive for investment. Airports cannot be sited in every state capital. Enugu already has an airport. IMO and Asaba have domestic airports. What else? SE does not have access to the sea, so how can a seaport be built there? The Port-harcourt sea port is functional, so is Onne terminal, which is not so far away from Ala Igbo. Yet your people cannot take advantage of these facilities, to attract investment into your SE states. How sad. 5 Likes |
