We are almost saying the same thing. But you need to read more. The church doesn't even pay for the cost of journalists that travel with him. The various organizations they represent do. The charted plane is a commercial plane converted to the sherperd one but he flies commercial when he gets to the country he is visiting. You can read about his travel details when he visited the US.
