The ending is funny. Their nonchalant attitude matches the states attitude about paying workers and probably delivering serve. Anyway nothing wrong with raising revenue but use it effectively. Quick math for anyone claiming this is fake. This isn't big yearly tax bill. N1 billion • 12 months = N12 billion per year. N12 billion / 400 thousand tax base = N30 thousand per year = N2,500 per month. The rest of the states funds comes from federation account. 4 Likes 1 Share |

He, however, decried the nonchalant attitude of the citizen towards tax payment, saying only 400,000 persons, including both the state and local government workers, are paying tax; half of the figure, he said, were not consistent in their payment. Why will I willingly pay tax in a state like Kogi? To feed Yahaya Bello or what? Has he even cleared the salary arrears 15 Likes |

Which Kogi abeg? This is a big fat lie! I know Kogi very well, I'm not hating but this is a lie. Aside Dangote cement factory at Obajana, what else of economic significance is there in Kogi? Lokoja has no industry, Okene may have one or two, kabba, Ankpa, Dekina etc nothing of worth, so where is the #1 billion coming from? Ok from the abandoned Ajaokuta iron and steel complex. Nigeria self with throwing numbers! 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Vivere:Only people that don't know Kogi will believe this bare faced lie. Dangote cement constitutes a huge percentage of the economy of that state. There is no commerce, no industry bar Dangote cement, no economic activity of significance. Lokoja only breathes when civil servants are paid. Okene is a nodal town that connects North to South. Where is the #1 billion naira coming from?? I need answers please, if not I will stop believing every other statistics in this country. 12 Likes 1 Share |

I find it difficult to believe. From 300m to 1 billion? But if this is true, why do they find it difficult to pay salaries? 1 Like |

Mumu people want to kill the poor with tax. Is tax the only means to generate IGR.? |
Re: Kogi’s IGR Hits N1bn Monthly by omohayek: 9:38am On Nov 16, 2017 |
HiddenShadow:It is the primary means of doing so in most countries, so what exactly is the problem? Only in messed-up places like Nigeria do citizens expect "free" services from government without having to pay anything for delivery, a ridiculous expectation caused by decades of oil rents. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Aregbe told us more than this about Osun's IGR and yet, he is owing salary arrears. When it comes to propaganda, APC is synonymous with NTA whose slogan is "you can't beat the reach". 3 Likes |
