Goke7:If Rohr uses the super sub tactic by making VicMo come from the bench, I imagine the way the second half would be sweet. But some will still clamor he should be a starter. |

Morning guys. I'm sure the Eagles victory over Argentina is still fresh in our minds and will be very good for the confidence of the team. Can someone please give me a breakdown of how the WC teams will be positioned in the Pots A, B and so on. I need to know where all the teams stand in each pot. ,Thanks |

forgiveness: Before the goal, the only 'save' was a deflected ball with no pace that was not even on target. We were not playing well but neither was Argentina. |

daveP: Honestly a iheancho/iwobi combination is a delight to watch any day, just shows how deep our squad is even though at times we feel or look short of talents going forward. if vicmo will not reduce his selfish play, he can be our super sub but you know Nigerians go shout. Iheanacho may be the one to be sacrificed for vicmo and be the super sub instead. There is also an Ighalo and simon lurking around too, mhen it's interesting 1 Like |

Mujtahida: the one touch-two touch is the tactical way we can compete with the best of teams at the world cup, if you watch and listen to the english commentators of the argentina game, you will hear the commentators commending the eagles for their one touch play that led to the second and third goals scored by the eagles. |

tbaba1234: those Scandinavian teams na no go area o, even iceland sef, don't forget what they did at the last euro, me think Nigeria will even fare better against the bigger teams apart from Germany, we are often psyched up optimally against bigger sides. |

Goke7:If Rohr gets his tactics right, with our best players intact, we will beat those teams convincingly. Those teams rely hugely on teamwork and tactics, no much individual talent among them. If Rohrbraces his team with same level of tactics like those teams we will pocket them because we'll catch up with them in terms of tactics and AND EDGE THEM WITH OUR TALENTED PLAYERS especially the attackers like Vicmo, Simon ,Moses, Iwobi Nacho Mikel and several others. So I'm not afraid of those teams. 4 Likes |

Napoleon55:The 3-5-2 is great for us to add to our tactical options. We have the 4-4-3 which we have used throughout the qualifiers. All this formations have their variants. It would be good if we perfect at least two strategy. I read that Leow of Germany has about eight tactical formations which the team can use. By his good showing in the 3-5-3 Ebuehi has changed the dynamics. If he's tried as a RB and he does well it would be difficult to drop him. 2 Likes |

Goke7:Naturally, anything to make Nacho and Iwobi play along sides each other will ginger the team play. But Simon is truly the deal. Not to talk of Onyekuru. South American teams use their wing backs to join attack. If we meet them in group stage, counter sure pass. |

Icon4s:Thanks boss for the accolades.I love Rufai and i can go to any lenght to defend him even prior to France 98 and before Ike Shorunmu got injured i still believed Rufai was better but looking back i discovered we are not sincere with other keepers cos of our die hard love for Rufai. Boss you said you don't believe in Agbonavbare cos of 1988 Olympics but Agbonavbare of 1992/93 with Deportivo was superb and better than Rufai but we still clamoured for Rufai returned. Do you know what brought up this discussion,it was based on Enyeama fiasco may he should return or not,so i need to go back to memory lane, like 1980 nations cup how Emma Okala the number 1 was dropped for young Best Ogedegbe, also how Peter Rufai was picked ahead of Patrick Okala at afcon 1984 and how Rufai was forced to come back at France 98 cos of Ike Shorunmu when we have Willy Okpara. Enyeama broke into Eagles in the same scenario, dropping of Ike Shorunmu against England gave the opportunity to Enyeama and he seized it. I can say much on how Enyeama broke into the team cos my university coach was part of the people behind Enyeama rise in the national team cos he was the goalkeeper trainer for Super eagles at 2002 WC. I asked my ex coach what gave them the confidence to start Enyeama against England. He said he w not deceive me Enyeama was better but they just have to stick with Ike due to experience. The Sweden match exposed Ike so they don't have option than to use Enyeama against England. Now we are in the same scenario,Enyeama said he has retired but we are pressurising him to come back due to what we are experiencing with Akpeyi and Ezenwa. Apart from this even when Ikeme was available and doing well, some are still clamouring for Vincent returned. The big question is,if Enyeama said No am done with Eagles, what do we do?i thought we should avoids such situations and plan without Enyeama. Truly we have challenges with our keepers especially the experience ones like Akpeyi and Ezenwa but am seeing good prospect in Uzoho, may be in one or two games we can forget about Enyeama, remember Enyeama is just coming back after 6 months off meaning is form cannot be guaranteed. We need to avoid another Rufai of France 98. Truly i craved for Enyeama return but am having a rethink. The spirit and unity in the team is high and no need for distraction and remember what led to Enyeama retirement was captain band issue, his coming back should be handled with care. I just hope Uzoho can be more convincing and there is need to give keepers like Alampasu, Ajiboye more chance likely they can be the answered cos we have seen enough of Ezenwa and Akpeyi, they can't be the number 1. 5 Likes 1 Share |

daveP:I hope we get more grade A friendlies. I'm no too rattled about teams in pot B and C beasuse so many of those teams a overrated. Teams like Iran, Iceland, Slovakia, Romania, Switzerland, Ukraine, Hungary, Bulgaria, Peru, Australia and several others. Those teams rely on tactical play and teamwork because they don't posses much talented players. Most of their players are avarege and we have talented players more than they do. So if Rohr can secure at aboutc 3 effective tactics and and formations and diccipline his players, we'll brush them aside. |
