I'm afraid you cannot get direct bus to katsina from your state, but you can surely get to kaduna then from. Kaduna to katsina is just a maximum of 4hours.

Baba, was your state of choice given to you when you redeployed?

It was an automatic redeployment for those posted to Adamawa, Borno and Yobe. Though I camped in Adamawa.

In as much as it was an automatic redeployment for everyone, you either redeploy on the ground of "insecurity" or "medical issues"

Those who redeployed on the ground of medical issues most likely got their preferred choice, unlike those who redeployed on the ground of "insecurity" which was a 50/50 chance to get your preferred choice.

I chose Osun but was redeployed to Kwara. Some of my friends chose Ibadan but were redeployed to Ogun or Ekiti.
Some chose Abuja but were redeployed to Nassarawa

The redeployment is usually very fair because you will either be given your preferred choice or a neighbouring state. If you happen to camp in a state outside the ones I mentioned, redeployment form can only be issued to those with medical issues. Make sure you tidy an authentic medical certificate and you're good to go.

Tell your brother not to worry. I presently serving in Gombe and I can tell you the experience has been fun...
The permanent camp at Mallam Sidi is one of the best in the country, if not the best. But due to the insurgent activities around the fringes of the state, the state is currently making use of a technical school at Amada, a town not too far from the capital. The Amada camp is quite fun and conducive apart from not having constant water supply but during my time, the state coordinator made sure tankers supplied us water everyday. Before I forget, you will be well fed. We had chicken every Sunday and some mornings we took egg.

Generally your welfare is catered for at Gombe.

D camp isn't something to write home about tho but don't worry its just 3 weeks

On the last paragraph i disagree with you. the camp is a wonderful place to be. Dont scare people or make them have bad impression about the camp

no nysc camp is in d state capital.... and tell him 2 get ready cos him nyash go pepper am 4 bus... almost a full day journey.. him go pass Jos, pass bauchi b4 him get 2 gombe and ftlrm lag to jos b 16hrs to bauchi is almost 18hrs so 2 gombe fit b 20-21hrs
