Hello good afternoon nairalanders, pls i want to know concerning buying a new phone, i was told you should charge first with light and not gen, i agree on charging the new phone effectively before use, but does it really matter whether its gen or not? |

Whether gen or phcn or solar or car charger, so far the power source is giving the correct voltage no problem. 1 Like |

JeremyA2G: Tech on battery li on is somehow adaptive to changes in voltage. Since phcn is the only source you can get stable 220v to 240v . It's highly recommendable. Otherwise you risk you battery capacity should the gen current fluctuates. 1 Like |

princemillla: Almost all the latest gadgets can operate at voltage of 110-240 volts including chargers. I see nothing wrong with charging with generator. In fact I think generators are even more reliable than phcn, u will hardly see generator giving high voltage, worst come to worst it's low voltage which will still be within the 110-220 volts range, but good luck when the transformer in ur area flunctuates or the neutral supplying ur home gets broken, the voltage will become too high and this is when gadgets get damaged. Happened in my street more than 2 times already this year and I lost my Samsung fast charger, my Aukey 6 port charger that I bought for 12k , laptop charger, microwave, and lots of bulbs. 1 Like |
