Information reaching Kwara Must Change now indicates that, Senator Saaba Lafiaji reportedly ordered soldiers to shoot youths that were protesting his misrepresentation at the National Assembly.

If the news was true, its unfortunate.

But Saaba Lafiaji was one of the best governor ever in kwara state. He was very very popular governor then.

UN has shown that the most violent prone countries are the ones with least literacy level.

As long as there is high level of poverty, illiteracy, injustice and religious bigotry, Nigeria will continue to experience violence

But ironically in Nigeria, sometimes the youths get what they rightly deserve.
The same youths that are being shot at will be the same youth that will collect stipends and join "" paid" Pro - government protests to give solidarity to the same govt that shot at them.
The Nigerian youths are selfish and stand for nothing. They have sold their conscience for stipends.

these present crop of leaders are gradually taking us back to the stone age even with the changes the global world is witnessing.
They have continued to create artificial hunger because they know that no hungry man will have the voice to fight for his rights while stipends are dished out to the poor and voiceless.

These politicians get away with their impunity by introducing party, ethnic and religious division into matters that ordinary should be handled according to the law. Homogenity ALONE can not act as a panacea to corruption and high-handedness. The viciousness will only go on. So,if you make Kwara state an independent country tomorrow and people like these still exist...you know the rest. If you doubt me,look at the history of the Somalia (a culturally and religiously homogeneous country). Why didn't the clan elders in Somalia stop Siad Bare from brutalizing and murdering the other Somali clans in the late 1980s? Let's face the fact man,the guy with the gun is always lord in Africa whether homogeneous or heterogeneous.

Besides,not almost every country on Earth is an artificial creation-not just African countries,I tell you. Even the Britain that created Nigeria. So is France,so is Spain,so is Italy,so is Turkey,so is China. Or why do you think most of them are currently experiencing secessionist agitations? From time immemorial states and empires have mainly been nothing but artificial creations of expansionists. Even pre-colonial African empires like Mali and Songhay were and that was why they all fell at some point in history.
