Phones don't have recycle bin now. Even computer that has, don't take larger file because your recycle bin is in active partition that houses the operating system.

The same point I was trying to make. On Quora/Reddit this is not possible. A serious question demands a serious response. The average Nigerian is not so smart so I ain't surprised. If you want to joke around move to the joke section Damn!

They become invisible, and still could be retrieved unless they have been overwritten.

Mckandre:
On any hard disk, there is a table stored that says "File xxxxxxxx is stored in the following location(s): "
This ensures that for any request to file xxxxxxxxx, the drive knows where to go look for it. When a file is deleted, the first character of the filename is removed and marked as "unknown". This was the key to let the drive know that any of the locations listed for any filename starting with an unknown character were free to be overwritten with new data.
As long as no new data had been written over the sectors that originally housed that information, everything was still there and you could recover it simply by telling the table to restore the first character of the filename (I remember having to go through entire directories of data back in the 80s, trying to recall the first character of all the filenames so they could be undeleted, kind of like this:

"deleted file ?utoexec.bat -- First character: _"

Complete. Nightmare. Anyway, I digress)

So that allows a pretty easy method of recovering a file providing the sectors that housed it hadn't yet been overwritten. The Windows recycle bin simply delays this process by moving "deleted" files into a special holding area, noting the original location and date it was deleted. After a certain period of time, the "proper" delete takes place.

Now, some people realised that if they wanted to actually get rid of a file, a simple delete might not be sufficient, after all simply by restoring the data in the file table, there's a reasonable chance it might be able to be recovered, especially if it hadn't been a long time since the delete took place. So a method called "zero filling" was invented. This involved filling every byte of the original file with a "0", and then deleting the file. That way, even if you do restore the data in the file table, all you're going to get back is an empty file. It effectively ensures that the disk sectors are already overwritten at the time of deletion.

when you delete data from your phone or computer, it goes into reserves memory of your computer or phone call Cache memory.

if you observe, your phone may have 12Gig storage, but you wont be allowed to use all the 12gig, something like 11gig will be free for usage, but the remaining 1gig is taken as reserve and unaccessible by you.

some call it Cache or Virtual memory.

Thats where all Deleted data go into.

Once a file gets deleted, the allocation of those bytes is removed from the table, so the memory is freed up for other bytes to be saved.
The content of your file may still be in the
storage, but the table is not listing it as a file
anymore but as "free to use storage", and every application may overwrite the bytes with own data and provide a new "higher meaning" to them.

When a file is deleted:

The list of blocks in the directory entry are marked as “free” and returned to the operating system. The directory entry is deleted, so the file “disappears” from the file system.
The actual blocks are not touched, so the data contents of the file remain untouched until some other new file overwrites them. This is the reason that file recovery software can often rebuild deleted files (but only if it is used soon after deletion).

Where does a candle flame go to when extinguished? Back to the matchbox or lighter you lit it with? Definitely not. It just ceases to exist on/in that space or storage.

It goes into Cyberspace. That's where ALL deleted files of the world are. .and they can be retrieve by a super/mainframe computer. Using a computer genius, the FBI hack into accounts and retrieve millions of trash files/deleted files this way.

When you delete things on a device, they don’t “technically” get deleted. When you hit delete on something, in fact, that file remains on the device. Though the system is “told” so to speak that it no longer exists. Thus the system can write over the data, that is in fact still there and create new files in that sector. This is the reason why when you delete files, you can sometimes take them to get recovered, as the data isn’t completely wiped. Wiping the binary data to all 0’s would take a LOT more time than if you just rewrite over it as they do now.

No wonder Nigeria is not developing. Op asked a valid and smart question. Just look at the STUPID responses above? Fools.

@OP I am also waiting for an answer too.

A common misconception when deleting files is that they are completely removed from the hard drive. However, users should be aware that highly sensitive data can still be retrieved from a hard drive even after the files have been deleted because the data is not really gone. Files that are moved to the recycle bin (on PCs) or the trash can (on Macs) stay in those folders until the user empties the recycle bin or trash can. Once they have been deleted from those folders, they are still located in the hard drive and can be retrieved with the right software.
Any time that a file is deleted from a hard drive, it is not erased. What is erased is the bit of information that points to the location of the file on the hard drive. The operating system uses these pointers to build the directory tree structure (the file allocation table), which consists of the pointers for every other file on the hard drive. When the pointer is erased, the file essentially becomes invisible to the operating system. The file still exists; the operating system just doesn't know how to find it. It is, however, relatively easy to retrieve deleted files with the right software.
The only way to completely erase a file with no trace is to overwrite the data. The operating system will eventually overwrite files that have no pointers in the directory tree structure, so the longer an unpointed file remains in the hard drive the greater the probability that it has been overwritten. There are also many "file erasing" software products currently on the market that will permanently erase files by overwriting them.

When you delete a file, it stays on your storage. However, the file that is pointing to its location is scrambled (modified). What that does it that it makes the storage device believe that the space is free. That's why you see memory free when you delete. It's not like the file is no longer there, it just means your storage device doesn't know its there and allows for overwriting.

That's why deleted files can be recovered, because they're still there! The recovery system simply attempts to reconstruct the pointer to the file location. However, once they're overwritten (partially or fully), they can't be recovered (fully).
