For those who want to schedule appointments and are not getting favourable dates, just keep refreshing the page. As at yesterday, the earliest date was 28th of December. This morning 3rd of January. Few minutes later, it changed to 13th of December. I won't be surprised if it changes again. Just keep refreshing 3 Likes |

In d spirit of giving bk.. Below is Wifey's recount of her POE experience in her own words. "I passed the dreaded Houston POE I flew klm at 36wks, i think this is one of the best airline for pregnant momas, nothing was asked , fit-to-fly was not even checked, it was jx express. I'm not forgetting to mention their food was very good and in-flight entertainment was on point. We had a 4 hrs layover in Amsterdam, and got to Houston around 1:30 pm. I was wheeled to the self service point and from there to the CBD , spent less than 2mins with the CBD. CBD -Good afternoon Me - Good afternoon sir CBP -what are u here for? Me - childbirth CBP - how much cash do u have? Me - ****(less than 10k $) CBP - how long are u staying? Me - 8wks CBP - place your fingers here, then look up for a photo (Stamps) I was wheeled to the baggage pickup, picked my luggage and left, currently chilling in Richmond, TX and counting down to baby's arrival. No document was checked Money was not even seen Was not sent to Agric No secondary inspection It was jx a breeze .. I really appreciate this forum it gave me enough information and boosted my confidence Plz request for wheelchair, it really makes things easier. Meanwhile, I checked my stamp and saw only admitted date , no exit date was written, (maybe they don't want me to leave the US again) how do I know how long am stamped in? 10 Likes |

Hello, your case is simple but I think you are scared because there is change in your plan. You and your wife should go for the vacation in December because that's the main purpose she was issued the visa. She can later go to give birth in February (She said that she would use the visa to give birth in February during her interview) The VO already said she will put it her record that she intend to use the visa for birth next year in February. If what you said is true, you have no reason to be scared. Your wife should tell the CBP what the VO said that it's noted during her interview that she will be using the visa to give birth in February. Get all necessary documents needed for your wife POE, doctor's correspondence, evidence of funds available to pay her bill etc. Best of luck. Weperwema: 2 Likes |

jay247: Sweet narration! Was hers a B1/B2 or just a B2? If B1/B2, did she declare birthing at the visa interview? DW is also flying KLM early December. ..but to LAX. I'm escorting her and pray hours will also be a "breeze" 1 Like |

Omodadi2: Hello Omodadi, I was in the same situation few weeks ago. It was crazy and in-fact.......i know what you are feeling. I called and called they kept saying "appointment dates is given at the discretion of embassy" i sent mails and there was nothing they could do. 221g appointment dates is different from the regular calender dates. I wanted to book a fresh appointment pay the visa fees again and i was advised by an embassy officer whom i spoke to not to do that. Just when i had given up hope, the date on my followup appointment calender changed and i was able to get a date in November. Hopefully i will get the Visa by Gods grace. My advise is call them, send mails, explain that you will be passed your due date by the ist available appointment you can see on your profile. Hope for the best. Lesson learnt was never to delay till you are close to your due date again. I wish you all the best. 1 Like |

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by AroOkigbo(m): 5:13pm On Nov 18, 2017 |
Omodadi2:Use the "Apply for an Expedited Appointment" option. Give them a range of dates/times you think you can make the appointment. Attached the appointment letter from your US doctor. They will respond after a day or two and a slot (date) will then be available for you to select. Then schedule an appointment with the slot. updated. Maybe your case is different. As at this time, January 3 is still available. e careful how many times you change your appointment, you may end up paying another visa fee |

AroOkigbo: Yes i think it's best not to use dropbox if your last visit was to have a baby or if your present reason is to have one.Saves from a lot of stress. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by jenyjay: 5:31pm On Nov 18, 2017 |
AroOkigbo: Well, from my experience, you cannot apply for an expedited appointment if you fall under 221g. |

Omodadi2: This should be your strong point. there should be a date on your profile. send a mail to abujaconsulate....state why you need an earlier date.. My reason was flights not taking me.i would have had to modify my due date for any airline to carry me. I really didn't want to do that,as it would give a a clean conscience. All the best to us. Cos getting a good date is not a guarantee to Visa being granted. 1 Like |

Thanks so much. The earliest date I saw yesterday was February 14, 2018. By this morning, it had changed to February 21, 2018. I was already making arrangement for an emergency appointment when I saw your post. By the time I checked, I saw December 12, 2017; which is okay for me. Thanks once again. aye88: 2 Likes |

Hi I have been in search of this as well. Some doctors are ok with it (usually female doctors) but the issue is the hospital they are affiliated with. There’s a rule they have to comply with which basically provides that once a woman who’s to do vbac goes into labour, both obgyn and anaesthesiologist must be at most 3 minutes away from the patient. That pretty much means leaving all your day’s to do to indefinitely hang around a woman who could easily labour for the next 18 hours. Even if your office is with the hospital premises, that wouldn’t do, you need to be very close. So this is the reason why many just say no they are not doing vbac. The alternative as I wasadvised is to try labouring a while at home. So if you are already 6cm plus when you get to triage, perhaps your doctor who is not anti vbac can “stall” and proceed to do the vbac. This has its risks too so it’s realky up to you. Once your water breaks you should not stay at home any longer due to the risk of infection. There is also the issue of placenta abruptions etc so it’s best weighing it well. chibertha: |

[This was how my own interview was the first time i got a visa,i went for my vacation and came back and travelled to have my baby, can u believe that i did drop box and was called for a follow up and during the interview the VO said i didnt declare i was going to give birth that she can only see i said i was pregnant but nothing like i would return to have my baby,i was shocked to my bones,i even showed her d paper the last VO gave me with requirements of wat i will need if am travelling back to have my baby, but the VO wasnt having it,that was how my interview took a left turn and i was denied,i hope it wont be your case becos it wasnt funny at all,i was truthful in all even at d POE... quote author=Weperwema post=62483076]@ Everyone Pls I need clarification with this Annotation on the visa page. DW went for interview and was granted Visa During the interview she on her own informed the VO that she was pregnant even though she just applied to go on vacation with me this December(I have visa already and traveled before). The V.O asked if she intends to give birth in the US and she responded by saying.... that would be next year in February. The V.O then said he would put that in her records but that she should inform them at the POE when she is doing and get necessary papers ready. Now she is considering going to deliver next year January because the allowed office leave for the December is just for fewer days than expected. She is now planning to deliver in Missouri. How can we know what Annotation is on her visa? Would she have any challenge at the POE even with all her possible compliance?[/quote] |

Omodadi2: Check zoemummy's post on page 343. She gave a detailed checklist. It's better to have more than less so add as many as you can... It will also be helpful to group the documents and label them so you are organised and can bring out documents without faffing around. 5 Likes |
