She is very lucky to meet a listening merciful VO that is having a good day. Many people in her situation that fail to provide old passport with visa of their travel history are denied. Any deception always damages overall credibility of visa applicant. Read in between the lines of her interview. From the line, yes I have my old passport in the car and to another story of her driver go with the passport and she even confirm her lie, she said. Me: yes I don't risk foreign food like that(that was a lie sha) except pizza that I bought few times.. my own normal food. She is very lucky. I must say again she is very lucky to meet such VO, another VO could have deny her the visa. Confidence indeed!!! LadyGuinivere: 8 Likes |

God gave you confidence. It may not always be the same outcome with such confidence next time. You are lucky to have the visa. Better always go with your old passport next time. That is my advice for you. favorgO5: |

HRprof: Normally your previous passport info should cease to show instead they will ask for the info of the new passport especially your passport number, issuance and expiry date. |

favorgO5: Nobody said you lied, but some interviewer would have denied you visa when you could not provide the passport, He first asked for the passport, you searched your bag, later said was in the car, later car went to hospital. It was grace that otherwise that was enough reason for the VO to stop the interview. 3 Likes |

Hello house, I really need your help. I have already booked my appointment for January with my old passport which has 5months to expire which I know there's no issue with the US embassy, so right now I wanna apply for UK visa, which I most travel there for Xmas and UK won't issue visa on 5months to expire passport unlike USA. So my concern is can I go to the interview with my new passport which I know the passport number will be different from the old one, I hope it won't be a red card for me? And can US issue visa on the new passport cuz d old one would be cancelled without prejudice 1 Like |

Yinkus1011:A man can recieve nothing except it be given to him from heaven John 3:27. I know the word of God. Even those that didn't do anything spectacular or plan to abscond, it was still the permissive will of God. Again. Fortune favours the brave. The same w Word encourages hard work. Luck connotes lack of hard work. A lot of folks go for interviews without research and " hope for luck' This applicant clearly has worked on knowing how to manipulate an interview. It is a skill. I have it so I know it She was being truthful about her travel so why should she be worried. It's a mind set to want something and find a way to achieve it. It's been said here a zillion times, VOs work on psyche. All the plenty uk questions was to watch her body language. Again, with a profile like hers, I would give her the visa if I were a vo If only future applicants will pick a thing or two from her. Well if you say it's luck. Then it's luck for u 3 Likes |

kristinbaby: Methinks they already knew where she had been and did not really need the old passport, except to verify the old visa stamps. For starters, you enter in evidence of previous travel when you apply, second i'm sure that the US and UK do share data so it would be easy to crosscheck the UK trip on a database... Also the OP sounded very confident and sure of herself, which is a good trait to have. 4 Likes |

I get really mad when people attribute Hardwork to Luck. Common....let's be real here. In my opinion, one of the most important thing when talking to a VO is your confidence. That transcript showed favourg05 was very confident.....and this was because she had an understanding of how the whole process works. Many of ya'll go to that interview with your heart in your mouth and even more sadly spending more time to pray than actually prepare yourself. 1 Like |

Happy Sunday When filling my DS 160. Apart from New York that I was visiting as a Tourist I also added A place in Utah. If am been asked "Where are you going to in the US"? What would be the proper and convicing way of answering since it's in my profile that am visiting towo States tourism? Thank You |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by TWoods(m): 6:51am On Nov 19, 2017 |
HiredGames: That is not true. I'm sure many people go to interviews confident and still get denied... and there are people who go with their hearts in their mouths who get visas. I believe it has more to do with whether you can prove that you have a valid reason to be in the US and can be trusted to use the visa as specified. 4 Likes |

TWoods: And we have seen many people with VERY valid reasons denied. It's not a one way street bro. Everything here is relative.....and that was why I said "one" of the most important things. |

I've been on this thread for about 2 years now. I was a total novice when I came here. It's popular belief that 55% of communication is body language, 38% is the tone of voice, and 7% is the actual words spoken. So confidence is key! There's a way you tell me your the CEO of a company and I'd go "yeah...right" and there's a way you'd tell me you're a house maid and I'd respect you for it. We've seen a lady earning about N50,000 (and disclosed in her DS160) get her visa!!! 2 Likes |
