In 2017 utme, we might have targeted 300+ and ended up scoring 200+. The next preparation strategy for 2018 utme is not just angrily reading but to return to the drawing table. For instance, in 2017 utme, what stop you from scoring 300+ Was the exam time enough? Did you made costly mistakes in picking answer? Is it that the questions were hard? Did you do well but jamb scored you wrongly? Were you too slow in answering questions? Is it that you didn't cover the syllabus? Is it that you cover the Syllabus but you didn't read indept? Is your reading time enough? Do you understand with ease? These are the first step in aspiring for an excellent score. What subject is your backbone? what subject is your weak point ? More to come soon. 5 Likes |

Pls take note of this few points, you'll need it. 1)Studying Medicine or law doesn't mean automatic Job after your stay in the University 2)Being intelligent doesn't mean you must study MBBS or law (A lot of good guys believes treating patient or wearing the wig is what they must do) 3)Not all good student become doctors or lawyers 4)Learn about other courses and you may discover where your passion passion lies 5)If you know you are simply managing(like me) academically and you can't try to improve...MBBS isn't for you! 6) studying mbbs or law doesn't mean you'll live a fuffiled life. There are a lot of biochemist out there that are more fulfilled than some doctors. 7) first ten of the world richest men aren't doctors or lawyers, you don't need to study those courses to succeed. Remember, thousands are coming all over Nigeria to compete for this same courses and some of them are graduates Think before filling 2018 Ume form... Know yourself... Build yourself... Only the toughest survive medicals... If you aren't good, you aren't good... Ps: this is not in anyway aimed as discouraging anyone, if you have the passion and intellectual ability and capacity to study medicine or law please do. All am saying is those courses aren't synonymous to success they are like every other courses. Thanks 12 Likes 2 Shares |

Good evening friends. Compliments of the season. As preparations are ongoing for 2018 UTME, I want to use this first plot I booked to give us one or two tips that can guarantee your admission if well followed. I made this post in response to someone's question on the 2017/18 thread, so I'll just make it available to us here. You don't need human connections to make the admission list in UI on merit. I want to believe most, if not all of us should know that. Meeting all the necessary criteria is all you need and you are assured of a spot on the list . I'll explain further from here. 1. Make sure you have the appropriate O'Level and UTME combinations for your course. I'm putting this first because it is a very big mistake that can deny someone admission, even with the best grades. So, ensure you get familiar with the updated course requirements. its on UI website... anyone that has access to the link should help paste it here for all to see. This goes majorly to aspirants of social science, art and science courses, with more emphasis on the Department of Psychology. Some folks missed 2016/17 admission because they didn't have biology which was a requirement. But its all in the updated course requirements on UI site. So ensure you go through. 2. Attain a minimum of 200 in Jamb. However, you might decide to target way higher than that, because a. Admission aggregate is now decided by jamb and postume scores. (jamb/eight)+(postume/two). b. In case you are aspiring for a very competitive course that will have a high cutoff. Infact if you go through the cutoffs for this year, you will notice most courses that used to be 50,52 in past years rose to 59,60,63. So, don't leave any stone unturned. 3. Prepare well for the postume. If you're a science student; especially Engineering, pls prepare harder. 100 questions, 90 mins. No calculator. I'm sure we should know that by now. 4. Keep praying without ceasing. Never atop calling your God. My next post will be about reading tips. stay blessed 8 Likes 1 Share |
