You have given a better description on how to get to Yobe by boarding direct bus from Onitsha. However, my only reservation is plying from Azare, Potiskum and Damaturu road in the dead hours of the night. I wouldn't subscribe to that for security reason for now. That roads for now usually look deserted at night. So I will still advise those going to Yobe, to get to Kano first and sleep over, then the following day in the morning they can embark on the journey to Yobe.

Potiskum and Jos are different axis. If you are coming from South South or South East or South West, you have nothing to do in Jos especially when your destinations are Yobe and Maiduguri/ Borno. as routes from those above mentioned regions have nothing to do with Jos. If you are coming from PH my sister , you have nothing to do Jos when your Destination is Yobe. Passing through Jos from Ph is like you are going to Warri from Ph. Instead of going through Patani, Bomadi, Ughelli road, you now pass through Aba, Onitsha, Asaba road. You can see the second is far longer. These are your routes from Ph: Agbor, Lokoja,Okenne, Abuja, Kaduna, Zaria,Kano. Jigawa,Azare, Potiskum and finally Yobe. Its those going to Gombe,Bauchi and Adamawa that need to pass through Jos.

bauchi is a kul place tho its cold nw (harmattan ish) u no go enjoy d state only if u reside around gwallamenji or yelwa... Dats we're der federal poly and uni respectively are located... accommodation is cheap.... 55-70k... very cheap in transport and feeding also... note frm lag 2 bauchi is lik 18hrs... u leave lag in d evening and get 2 bauchi by 11-12 d next day morning...tho u might find a hard tym coping cos of language barrier but I can help u adapt if u interested... just drop ur digits...

Yea. I think it's a cool route. I have passed that route. But, it's more than 3hours. Max is 4hrs

The camp is okay, just know that you will pay for charging ya phone sha. And the soldiers there are nice. Also pray you get benin as your PPA cos all other places na dead. Those other parts of Edo are quite cheap but dead. Benin food no cheap again oh, only transport there is manageable.

I can't say much about the camp but it's not expensive living here. You'd want to live in Benin city as its the economic hub of Edo State. Accommodation is affordable, just don't go for GRA and some parts of Sapele Rd, they are not advisable for one who isn't a big earner. 200 can take you anywhere within the city with some change leftover. Food is generally cheap, as cheap as can be. At the end of the day, it depends on what you're used to. It's a little boring though but you'd be alright welcome to my home state.
