Rohr should focus on;
1. Goalkeeping department. Try out Alampasu and Ajiboye. It seems Uzoho has caught his attention. That's good. Away with Akpeyi and Ezenwa
2. Defence department. The Oyinbo wall looks shaky of late. I don't trust Omeruo. Let's try to lure 2 German youth internationals. Already, Echiejile knows his place is under threat. Brian Idowu and Tyrone Ebuehi are making us proud. Ola Aina has to sit up if he must be in Russia
3. Midfield department. Etebo might not be in Russia. No thanks to his height and low playing club. All eyes are now on Ogu. It seems Rohr prefers Agu to Etebo. Let's introduce more skilful wingers in this department.
4. Attack department. Let's try out Onyekuru and Kayode then bring in Desser. Before I can conclude. Ahmed Musa is a topic for another day but since we have Iwobi, Victor Moses, Simon Victor, Ighalo, no wahalla
5. Team bonding is another issue. Use friendlies for that.
I don't know what that Mike Agu has in him as a midfielder to be part of the team.

that Dessers of a guy, so hyped and popular in this forum... the most talked about player yet to be invited. And its a misery to my as why he's still playing at a lowly Utrecht FC club if he's that good.

I really hope Rohr keeps inviting Onyekuru to show what he can ad to the team.

You're right about Etebo about his height, but not so about where he plays. And his current; form is letting him down at this crucial time.

I totally agree with you about Omeruo. I don't trust that guy one bit. Seems he's lost all what earned him a place in the team initially.

Thank you! Just a few years ago, Pep Guardiola confessed that Ike Uche alone totally outplayed the entire Barca squad.

Bottom line, out boys are better than the football clubs they play for. Out players are underrated and undervalued in Europe. There are no two ways about it. Hence, I pray and hope that we do very well in the World Cup because that's one way to increase the value of our players.

O pari

These kind of statements make no substantive rational. I take them with a pinch of salt.

If Pep truly believed that Uche was that good why did he not buy him. In the scheme of things Uche would cost Barca literally chicken change.

Mujtahida you should know i don't just go for any player until i make a critical look, honestly if the guy is eligible Rohr should just extend invitation.

I want to see Dessers,Sanusi and Onomah in eagles they are pretty good players.
Let me check out Ryan Sanusi

He's all dribble no end result. Same issue with Musa yahaya.

Coaches these days prefer results to skills. Even senior man Ronaldo when asked why he's not been displaying skills like before responded that he decided to focus on scoring goals rather than skills.

They will soon clean out every form of skill from football in the name of effectiveness and results.
One of the recent articles on goal.com postulates that Pep is on his way to changing how we see gk in that they are going to be outfield players. Not only gk but Pep's tweaking of total football would also see the end of traditional strikers.

You can lie for Africa enh. Eniola started playing for England in 2004 while his younger brother started with Eagles Flying in 2009.

So how is your statement above on point?

How did Eniola turn down the chance to play for Nigeria on the bases that Sone was badly treated by Nigeria? Abi she sees things in the future

You don't have to window dress facts to pass your message. Please be factual and truthful in your opinions/analysis.

Eniola Aluko
Eniola Aluko (born 21 February 1987) is an English footballer who plays for Chelsea Ladies of the FA WSL as a forward. She made 102 appearances for the England national team from 2004–2016 and competed at the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup in China, 2009 UEFA Women's Euro, 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany, 2013 UEFA Women's Euro, and 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, she represented Great Britain.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eniola_Aluko

Aluko was named in the squad for the Nigeria under 20 national football team for the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt. He played in games against Venezuela, Spain and Tahiti.

Aluko was called up to the Nigerian national team for a friendly against the Republic of Ireland on 29 May 2009, an offer which with the support of his family he chose to accept.

He made his full international debut in the starting eleven, forcing the Irish goalkeeper to save his 40-yard lobbed free kick and playing the first 61 minutes of the game.

In April 2010, he was named in the provisional Nigeria squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, but failed to make the final cut.

He was finally called up by former Nigerian coach Stephen Keshi and therefore has a chance to add to his one cap against Republic of Ireland in May 2009 after he represented England at various age-group levels.

He was brought into the squad to face Namibia and Malawi in the World Cup Qualifiers in the month of June 2012, but was an unused sub for both games.

22 year-old Kingsley Ehizibue is one player that should be on our radar.
We should always be looking to capture the promising/performing foreign grown, while we also develop our homegrown players.

Ebuehi's 6.77 rating don't make him a bad player.
Both Lawal and Azubuike are pretty good. Who can play as a 10 is another matter.
Both player are good ball holders though. Azubuike is a good passer, but can he also produce goals of his own?

Mujtahida:

Both stability and continous improvement in good measure. An English idiom says a rolling Stone gathers no Moss. You cannot in the name of improvement keep changing the team in such a way that the team acquires no tone or rhythm. If stability overrides continous development there's the risk of complacency setting in. If new additions are made at blistering pace there's the risk of having players but no team. Balance is the key word and I think Rohr is moving at a steady pace on both indices. Uzoho, Onyekuru, Nwakali, Ebuehi, Agu were not there in the beginning but there are in the frame now.

@the bolded: you need not hear it. How many players did Chelsea bring into the first team this season? Why didn't they overhaul the whole team. I hope you know that there are players better than each of the Chelsea players.

I repeat: everything in good measure. Seems to me as if you are not concerned about the SE per se. As I've said before your concern is to get the SE chock full of FB players in the UK.

Your assumption is entirely misguided, is that why I called for Joel Obi and Sone Aluko who have both played for the SE already. The same reason I called for Efe Ambrose who has already played for the SE, the same reason I called for Obagoal who you all know. That's continuity but with a proviso if good enough, if not tested how will you know All these players have put in exceptional performances in thier club sides and league.

English Nigerian players do not need the SE to further thier careers it doesn't really add any value to them per se. Nigerian born players do.

I have no quest for Nigeria English players to flood the SE. The unit of measurement is simply quality. Are they better than what we have

I can see the debate becomes emotive and prejudicial.

Because your assumption is totally untrue to what purpose. One thing I want is Nigerian football to go on the ascendancy.

You have moved the goal post on two occasions.

Firstly, I only rate players in the EPL that's not true. I gave countless examples current and even projected of players that left league one straight to the EPL. My view is that we should not wait for them to be recognised by the English FA before we jump in.

That I only want English Nigerian players. Which could be perceived to be by practice but is wrong by intention. My involvement with English football and indepth experiential knowledge makes it inevitable to talk about what I clearly know about. It would be arrant noise making and fanzine emotive spewing to be talking about players I have not seen in training or in live matches and or spoken to thier team coaches.
I still get recruitment heads asking me about Nigerian players in Europe, so I'm not totally disconnected.

Continuity would mean having a core group of players in the team over 5 -10 years. But replaced by better players as those players are discovered and as time goes by.

Currently we have I would say not more than 5/6 players that represent continuity. That means there should be continued assessment and invitation of players at all times World cup or no world cup to identify quality players.

In this regard I have identified possibly 5/6 players as potential that's not a lot in reality. Some we will.no longer get because we waited for England to recognise them before we jumped on the bandwagon.

My main unapologetic stance is seeing players who have a club performance that does not justify a call up. Players like Osimhen, Nwakali, Succes, and others that's not continuity. Again we seem to be too quick to drop older but proven players tested players for untested and unproven. Each coach Keshi, Siasia have there preferred players.

My view national team selection is recognition of outstanding performance in your club and or leagues. Which can be tapered by the quality of the league and club all things being equal.

What I find remarkable is that no one has e ever asked how come my involvement in football. I am not an agent although I am associated with quite a few. That I will not say. So some of my replies are obviously guarded.

Check his stats. He has had only 1 goal for Porto B this season. And zero assist.

The coach has even tried him as both right and left midfielder. No result. Now he has become a bench material.

However change is something that should come gradually, not rapidly, else you upset the balance you've been trying to build.

I will admit to something in the past i was very African biased. In my football assessment where flamboyance, skill, flair and just general almost show boating where my first likes.

After quite a few players I was involved with were not getting ahead.

I discovered that the purpose of skill was for effective outcome delivery and end product.

I remember Tega Onomah at Tottenham he was filled with skill drag backs and silky wow moments. He has dropped that in favour of effective outcome delivery. His reading of the game is exceptional and an incredible eye for disguised and defence splitting passes just astounding. That's the new effective midfielder

Just like the traditional striker now has to join in play and fuses into a number of roles to be effective.

I see my favourite player in Europe currently is right there on the list,Nabil Fekir of course. The dude is a monster. He's got silly numbers this season. 11 goals, 4 assists in 11 games is absolutely mental. Jesus!
I must confess Mbappe has nothing on the talented Fekir. He's even scored from the halfway line this season. It is heart warming to see him return to his devastating best after being out injured for a season.
Sometimes, I wish I was French. If there was justice in the world, the French should make light walk of this this world cup.

Radmir Falcao should be in the also. 13 goals in 11 games is crazy stuff .

to be honest...France national team has no problem other than the coach....
how I wish they have a very sound tactical coach...this world cup will just be theirs...

Some persons here are not in Europe but just by taking advantage of the Internet and other sources of information they've brought other players to our attention - players like Dessers, Olayinka, Adegbenro, Onuachu, Bonaventure etc. What amazes me is that I cannot recollect you saying anything about this guys. You have not said ohh Dessers, what's the noise about this guy. Let me check him out. No you don't and won't do that simply because he's not in the EPL or championship or league one.
As a lover of the Super Eagles, our eyes scan every continent and region looking for who can fit into the team. The moment we hear of any player doing well we check him out, we try- even if inadequately- through youtube videos to size him up to see if he's quality. But you are stuck with UK FB players. Not bad. But try and check others out and remove that notion from your mind that good players cannot be found in the lower rungs of the lowest leagues. Dele Alli proves that that notion is plausible but not an absolute truth.
