PRESS STATEMENT BY PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY NATIONAL YOUTH LEAGUE ON KWARA COUNCIL ELECTION HELD ON 18/11/2017!!!



Our attention has been drawn to the criminality perpetrated by Dr Usman Ajidagba of Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWASIEC), Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, Senate President Bukola Saraki and All Progressive Congress in Kwara state (APC) with respect to the recently concluded November 18 Local Government election in Kwara state.

The quartet, having received overwhelming rejection by the people of Kwara state as expressed at the various polling units in the state have resorted to criminally withholding the official announcement of the election result.

We are not unaware of the overwhelming defeat that was sustained by all candidates of the ruling APC that stood for the election.

We are also not unaware of the disgraceful outing by Senator Bukola Saraki, the Senate President and APC leader in all polling units that make up his Ward and the entire Ilorin West Local government. We are equally not unaware of the pummelling of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed in his Ifelodun Local Government Area.

KWASIEC and their collaborators must be warned that we shall resist any form of manipulation of the will of the people of Kwara state that have freely exercised their franchise.

The good people of Kwara state are alert to resist every undemocratic forces bent on stealing the mandates they have freely given to all PDP candidates in the election.

We demand for the immediate release of results for all Wards and Local government areas that makes up Kwara state without delay.

We congratulate all victorious PDP candidates in the poll and assure Kwara people that the great umbrella will never let them down.

I think National Assembly should fast track the bill mandating INEC to conduct LGA elections, there are a lot of positives to derive from it

The Sarakis are just too greedy .

what are you saying? Isn't Saraki the one that made APC win Kwara in 2015? has APC/AD/ANPP/CPC ever won Kwara pre-2015 after the exit of Olusola from APP in 2002?
