A Facebook user Egunnaya Franklin has called out a lady for sewing short shorts with the ISI AGU material, worn mostly by the Igbos.

He wrote;

"Me, am not in support of this, it is an insult to the Igbo nation, come on, we have traditions for crying out loud, how can a full grown lady sew short with our ISI AGU, and you call it civilization, how many Hausa's and Yoruba's have been civilized to this point, it's a total disrespect to our tradition, I don't support evil"

I support the young man but it's unfortunate we have lost it all in this country . I wonder if our kids these days kmow what their lineage eat or does not eat. Socialization and Christianity have killed our tradition. Even women and untitled young men wear redcap currentky which used to be a taboo in igboland .

Isiagu cloth was not around in the 20s, 30, 40s, 50s, 60s or even 70s.
It wasn't until 1979 that Alex ekwueme brought the short sleeve style of isiagu to publish fashion.
So it wasn't originally ibo culture.
Google ibos of the 60s to know what was worn

The culture that didn't prevent you from travelling to Malaysia, Indonesia e.t.c to do all kinds of illicit and embarrassing criminal activities. Isi Agu is just a fabric. Get out of the wood! The lady may be an enterpreneur promoting her product. You are there wasting your data on criticizing her entrepreneurial effort. Keep on waiting for Buhari to provide you with a job.
