This is to inform the general public and especially, candidates that participated in the 2017 November/December West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE  for Private Candidates(popularly known as WAEC GCE) that their results are now available online .

2017 WAEC GCE Results have been successfully uploaded online and it is accessible from the WAEC official result checking website. Candidates need to purchase the WAEC result checker which cost N500 (five hundred naira only) from authorized dealers or any WAEC office nearest to them to be able to access their results.

HOW TO CHECK WAEC GCE RESULT ONLINE – 2017 NOV/DEC.

Go to WAEC result checking portal @ www.waecdirect.org.
Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number.  (This is your 7-Digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number eg. 4123456789)
Enter the 4 digits of your Examination Year eg. 2017
Select the Type of Examination  i.e. PRIVATE CANDIDATE RESULT
Enter the Card Serial Number found on the reverse side of your Scratch card.
Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Scratch card
Click Submit and wait for the results window to come up

HOW TO CHECK 2017 WAEC GCE NOV/DEC RESULT VIA SMS.

In case you want to check your 2017 WAEC GCE result via sms, use the short code format below:

WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear To short-code 32327 (MTN, Airtel & Glo subscribers)

Note: Ensure you adhere strictly to the format above. There should be no space in the message.

You should be much more concerned about the Nigerian education. In the late 80's when i was writing my pry 6 school leaving exam(NOT COMMON ENTRANCE), I had three subjects then. Maths, Eng and General studies. The general studies had CRK as one of the subjects embedded. There was this teacher calling out answers to students. As a young boy that grew up in a deeper life home, i never had any reason to study CRK but i never had less that 95%. At a time I started cross checking what he was dictating with my own answers that I was 100% sure of, they were wrong answers. That day I felt bad for students that believed in him. Those are the kind of teachers in public schools now teaching those students in exam halls. IF not for private schools, only 2% will even pass WAEC these days.

The education system of these country is alarming,I wonder how the education sector will be in the nearest future,it is disheartening seeing the younger generation not performing well when it comes to education, the same younger generation who is going to rule in the nearest future, To my own perception,I think both the student and government contribute to the failure of the education system.
