Lexusgs430: Okay. I'll break it up in a bit and repost. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Deola101: 12:25pm On Nov 24, 2017 |
Lexusgs430: Here's my question. I hope it's more readable now. 1) I work as a customer relations officer for a private transportation company however on my marriage certificate, my occupation was erroneously put as 'public servant'. I didn't think much of it but on going through the visa application form, there is a part that asks about employment history and if I've ever worked for the government. I intend to tick "NO" as I never have, but the discrepancy between my actual occupation and what is on the marriage certificate worries me. Do you think I should explain this in the 'additional notes' section and also back it up with a letter from my employer stating job role, date of joining, etc as part of our supporting documents...or I should simply ignore this? 2) We meet the stipulated financial requirements, however my husband (sponsor) has an overdraft in his bank statement (2 months out of the 6 we intend to present have overdrafts). Do you think this would be an issue? Do people get refused on account of overdraft in the sponsor's bank statement? 3) Husband presently lives in a 3 bedroom flat with 2 other tenants, is property inspection report a must? |

Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Lexusgs430: 12:48pm On Nov 24, 2017 |
Deola101: (1) Your response is what I also would have suggested you do....... Letter from employer etc etc and brief summary in relevant section..... (2) The overdraft should not be an issue. Since its presumed you would also be picking some form of employment, when you arrive...... The bank statement request, is just to crosscheck figures and currently active & live (3) A house in multiple occupation is a property rented out by at least 3 people who are not from 1 'household' (eg a family).... Based on the definition of an HMO, your husband is currently leaving in a HMO (Property inspection required)............ |

Deola101: 1. Just explain in the additional section as your employment isn't relevant only the sponsor. 2. Bank balance or overdraft don't matter as long as you meet the income requirements with proof (letter from employer, bank statements and matching pay slips showing income payments). 3. Just explain in your introduction / cover letter. 4. Doesn't matter. 5. Yes you can. I hope this helps. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by teejay231: 1:52pm On Nov 24, 2017 |
Phoenix77: Just property inspection and tenancy agreement will suffice. Utility bills are only required for the FLR and ILR stages. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by teejay231: 1:57pm On Nov 24, 2017 |
Aphrodite007: The only documents you need for accommodation proof during a spouse visa application are letter from landlord/tenancy agreement and property inspection letter if shared housing or land registry documents if it's a personal property. Utility bills and council tax letters are only required in the next stage FLR and final ILR as proof of cohabitation. If you want to include you can go ahead but not relevant. |

ewebiodun: From my understanding spouse visa applications are not affected by bans. Just be honest and explain in the additional section/ cover letter. Also make sure you meet all the other requirements. 1 Like |

teejay231: Teejay231 pls I'm confused.. my wife lives alone with our 3 year old daughter in a council owen property... she pays rent and all bills... not on any kind of benefit. So my question is will she need a property inspection letter for our application or the tenancy agreement, rent statement and council tax bill will do. Thanks for your time |

Hi everyone I have some questions please and ill be grateful if anyone can answer. 1. pictures I have of myself and husband are on my phone so they are not date stamped, can I use pictures that are not date stamped? that is can I simply upload them on a word document with explanations on the date and where I took them. will they believe or question it. 2. I live in a studio flat with the bedroom & kitchen together and a separate bathroom (not even so big) the cost of living in my area is crazy. do you think I still need a property inspection for this? I pay rent as well as council tax (have single person discount). my other bills are included in my rent. I have my tenancy agreement as well as email from my landlord saying my husband can join me (however am planning on getting a letter too which shows my husband name). Thank you |

Hi Deola 1. I think it's better you explain in the additional information section. If possible to try to rectify the employment error at the court... some people have explained how they had to go back to the registry to rectify errors. Remember you don't want to give the UKVI officials any reason for suspicion 2. Overdraft doesn't matter to them. All the need your hubbys bank statement for is to confirm if he truly receives the salary you have claimed he receives plus to back the payslips up 3. I think it's not good that you don't have any pre wedding or courtship evidences... you really need to find something (pictures, call logs, social media etc) to back up the ones you have from 2016 to present 4. I don't think it matters who does the screenshots. As long as eveidences show that the conversations/communications transpired between both of you 5. I don't think it's really necessary printing your bank statements as long as your sponsors bank statements are correct and shows that he receives the said salary to maintain both of you. Hope I'm able to help with these few information. Gurus in the house should correct me anywhere if I'm wrong

|
