I am yet to see a Christian that becomes poor b'cos of tithing but I have seen uncountable Christians that becomes rich by tithing and supporting the ministry. It is stupidity for one to think that when I offer or pay my tithe, I am only giving it to my pastor.

We all know that remove tithe and many pastors will be poor. Many will quit the church business.
The only part 99% of church goers follow is paying of tithe. The rest part of the scriptures such as morality, they discard it.

Open your Bible to the books of exodus, leviticus, numbers, and Deuteronomy for yourself. .. Read everything about the old covenant laws for your own soul's sake so you can learn that you have indeed been bowing to the opinion of mere mortals whose words you have made equivalent to that of God, over your very existence.

I pray with my eyes open. God never commanded we close our eyes while praying to Him. There is no record of Jesus Christ commanding that of His follower either.

We are speaking here of God's word as pertains your actions. God only blesses obedience to that which He has commanded, so anyone not doing what God said to do but claiming God indeed blessed such endeavour is calling God a liar and we know that man is the liar, not God.

God knew from the beginning and devices His own way to find works that He has indeed established for His followers to do obedience to Him. So again, if it is not of God and it is funding any project, then that is a sure fire way of knowing that even that project was never of God to begin with. God will not use that which is sourced from disobedience to find His holy work.

Sometimes, depending on the mood I am in.
Am I to take it then that it matters little to you what God commands so long as you have justified it in your mind that is it what you want to do? If so, why pretend God is in any of what you do?
