I 'm not a troublesome person so I will tender an apology to those people I have insulted. Yes it is quite annoying when people don't read up and ask questions that have been answered a million times. It doesn't give you the right to be rude. I have seen people direct newbies to page 0 with tact and politely at that. We can all do that. That you have been on nairaland since you were born don't mean you should Lord it over anybody.
That being said I'm sorry to those I have slighted. Let's kiss and make up kiss kiss kiss

Note though some of our Nigerian Banks can be funny. They can say he/she was not ‘core/full’ staff while a Grafuate Trainee and the letter they will issue may start from when they considered you a full staf of their organisation.

Your banking experience begins on the day you sign the 'contract' which is usually the first day of your induction programme. Confirmation, just like promotion, is an important milestone which is determined by employment date.

OK please are religious marriage certificate OK or must it be from a marriage registry.

Not sure. When I got married(I’m catholic) we were told we didn’t need a certificate from the registry as Catholic Churches issue the same marriage certificate as the registry. So maybe check with your religious institution first.

I have worked in 2 banks and both treat this differently. In one, if you’re a ‘trainee’, you are not yet full staff. In the other, they don’t call you a ‘trainee’ during your probation period.

Yes, but as a trainee, you already have a contract with the bank as a full time employee. Experience gathered during that probationary period is part and parcel of your total work experience. It shouldn't be subtracted.

No it shouldn’t be subtracted as I had stated earlier but if you have a bank that will only give you a letter from the time you graduated from being a ‘trainee’, then you may want to split it is what I am suggesting. It depends on how the bank views it’s ‘trainees’ as some organisations have a policy of not issuing letters in the CIC format to non-core (contract, trainees etc) staff. I think the person should confirm first.

I would love to say a few words. its not nice that you have insulted everyone who cautioned you.. you could have pointed at her errors without joining her. anyways i understand you were angry, and we all do uninteligent things when angry. it would be nice if you make peace with everyone, doesnt mean you didnt have some points... but if we focus on being right, there would be no room for peace.

what is funny is that none of those criticsing, took up the challenge to explain what CRS is.. I would think that would have been an opportunity to prove a point.

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is a points based system that IRCC (Canadian immigration) uses to assess and score your profile in comparison with other candidates in a pool (ranking). You get a CRS score based on your answers to a number of questions about your skills, education, language ability, work experience etc. Typically every fortnight, IRCC conducts a draw of candidates in the pool and selects a cut off CRS score. Candidates above that score are then invited to apply for Permanent Residency.

I thought we should redeem ourselves by answering the question that started the buhaha cheesy grin

I dont know how else to say this and dont want to exercerbate the whole issue but you really need to tone down. your words could be fashioned alot better. A number of your comments really came off derisive, and it just shifts attention from your points. This is not to say you havent been very helpful or an integral part of this thread, I and a number of folks have acknowledged your contribution to our journey in the past and many more would in the future..

Hahahahaha it's so funny how y'all say this thread contribution, as if anyone gets paid for it. Outside being commended on here and accolades, what else does anyone get from answering questions here? Nothing LOL.
Anyway, I'm not in the business of fashioning words. It's a free world, no one has to read or respond to my posts. The problem is y'all take me waaaay too serious than I even take myself, that's why it irks y'all. Looool. If you take me as an unserious person, I promise you that una no go dey vex anytime I write anything. Just try it and you'll see Canadianfly won't get under your skin anymore grin
That's what I do, I don't take anyone here serious.

That being said, anyone is free to ask any question they like, when I say do your own research...it's for your own benefit not mine. No one knows it all.

Fear to ask questions cuz no one wants to be ridiculed or insulted. Doesn’t feel good to go to a forum for information just to get insulted. Like I said, I ask on my WhatsApp group and other forums, not because I don’t have a thick skin, but because this process is already mentally tasking, so I don’t need the extra drama from nobody. I know myself, I will end up dedicating my time to put that person in his/her place. Ain’t nobody got time for that. So let’s respect ourselves.

Oh dear! Madam please it's Sunday morning...
I still don't understand and will never understand why an adult will be afraid of another adult on a faceless forum... (does he/ she pay your bills? Do you know the person in real life?)
No matter your explanation I still won't understand.
Perhaps, 'fear' is not the word you seek but if it is ......

@Fayzz

If you eventually get WES to send the package back to you, sure you know it won't be free.

Best bet is to follow up on OOU to resend another one and pay again.

If you use another evaluation body, say ICES....I doubt if you will ever get a refund from WES....

The choice is yours..

Hello house

Pls I need your opinion. School (OOU) finally sent my transcript to WES but got an email from WES stating that the transcript has been tampered with due to the way it was sealed. And school said they need WES to return the transcript before anything can be done. I've been mailing WES ever since just to get a solution to this to avoid spending that much all over again, but got no response. Don't knw if there is anything I can do? Pls want to know if anybody has been in this situation before and what was done to resolve it and also any advice on what to do to avoid spending almost 80k again. Thanks.

Hello,
This happened to a close friend of mine, contact wes via twitter dm, tell them the envelope was properly sealed and the stress and cost involved with requesting and sending the transcript is quite high and you dont wish to go through all that again. This was his explanation and wes started reviewing his documents a day later. I hope this helps.
