[quote author=Ishilove post=62704367]This Black Friday madness reminds me of the subject matter Stephen King's novel 'Needful Things'. Man is a consumer who keeps consuming and consuming, even when he doesn't need those things he is going out of his way to buy. We live in a generation of self aggrandisement[/quote Look who's talking, yet you have a phone to comment on this topic abi? If you can't live like a monk you are also a consumer... 1 Like |

Flat screen TVs is still a big deal! hmmm Interesting! The average household in Nigeria has one IMO. I think the priroirities in our society is skewed. Same way a studemt that cannot afford school fees uses Iphon7 or 8. If not, why will people who have all basic necessities of life, food, clothes, good health care, security, still see having a flat screen TV as a big deal? 2 Likes |

nkemdi89: 'Twas okay, at least in my location. Crowded, busy, floor became dirty from excessive foot traffic, and every payment terminal was manned. I see their revenue easily topping three times the normal daily revenue, although most of the buyers were traders who'd resell the products in their shops later on. Deals weren't that many, but it'd improve in the coming years. It's interesting how these SA brands come here to teach NG brands how to do business. People who bought Shoprite Stocks when they first came to Nigeria should hold on to it. That company could very well become the Wal-Mart of Africa. -Lord 5 Likes 1 Share |
