To study medicine here without standard German language is like ttrying to carry water in a basket. It is complicated. No amount of German u learn in Nigeria will qualify you to study medicine here. You have to study German here and then pass some exams to be eligible to apply. Best is study your medicine in Naija, then you can apply here to work after you muse hAve learnt the language. I know many guys like that. Or better still apply for language course here in Germany.

Okay thank you, I think I'll prefer to do the language course there.
Do you know any good schools I can do it, their requirements and how much it'll cost me.
And please I still need clarification on this studienkolleg thing.. Is it the language course I'll need to be proficient in german cos right now I'm at level 0 in german or just a prep course before entering uni there.. Or it's both ?
Thank you

You need to study know the language to be able to enter studienkolleg. Studienkolleg is like SS3 in Nigeria secondary school system. But I must tell you it's very very tough to pass. If you do not want to pass through studienkolleg, then you must hAve a year transcript from a Nigerian university with outstanding marks together with your SSCE and German language exam (either Testdaf or DSH ).
Good luck

hello, You didnt state the course you wish to study in germany... yes you can get be admitted into a German university if you want. all you need is just your first year transcript, test of english language proficiency and waec or neco result(some times schools might request for a motivation letter and recommendation letter). So its your decision to make if you want to do masters there or undergraduate. let me know the course you want to study so i can help you search for them.

Good day guys. Kudos to all of you for a job well done. I have read from 0 to the last page and I think I understood all said herein. Now it's time to ask some questions.
1. Please can my uncle in Nigeria ( he doesn't have German passport, not a German citizen. But his bank account is more than 8k euros) sponsor me?
2. If I get admission, how long will I stay before I apply for family reunion? Can I do that within three months of my arrival?
3. For me to file for family reunion how much should I have on my German block account by then for my spouse and a kid?
4. Can my spouse work full time while I work for only 20hrs/week?

Waiting to hear from the top gurus in the house.

You guys are doing great job here. Well done guys.

No he can't, unless he can give you the money (8k euros) smiley. Like he could transfer the money to your account

Haba three months?? . Well, I really don't know how long, three months is too early. I think the best time is after you study and have a good paying job cool

3. For me to file for family reunion how much should I have on my German block account by then for my spouse and a kid?
From my experience it doesn't matter how much. If you have a good paying job, You can apply

4. Can my spouse work full time while I work for only 20hrs/week?
.

I don't think it's possible to bring your spouse on student visa. I heard it's possible, but I doubt. Reason being that you are a student and you have to take care of yourself and your spouse. It will cost a lot more. My advice would be to travel first, study, learn the language and get a good paying job. By then you wouldn't have problems bringing your spouse or kid over. Your spouse could start learning German now, so finding job won't be hard by then

I applied to University of Bremen and University of Bonn since first week of October for MSc Communications Technology and Computer science respectively for Summer session and I'm yet to receive any information in my mail regarding my application. What step am I to take pending the time they respond as I heard it takes time to process applications.

I studied in Germany. Started from undergraduate school. I speak fluent German and know much about school and work in Germany. If you have any questions, be it about English or Deutsch in Germany, l would be glad to answer.

For a starter, University education is free.

Hi pls how can one do masters at Germany?
