It will take more than a miracle for those on APC to be called for interview, regardless of what their customer care representative tells on phone.

This might be the last time I will post on this thread. Some are saying those called are on merit, I laugh. Some blame those that wrote on the first day and distributed questions. I wrote on the fourth day been Thursday and I will say categorically that I benefitted from the hints shared here.

I have the said GMAT 2012 edition, a copy I bought years back while preparing for NNPC 2014 exams. I shared pictures of such to over 20candidates via WhatsApp yet only one of them was called for interview, when they all testified they did well in the test.

My test was 3english section and two maths section, which I was very familiar with the questions and answers for the English section. I am very good in maths and as such, DAT section was a bonus. After d test, I went back to d GMAT and calculated my expected score to be 80%+.... Yet my portal is closed. As someone says its on merit I weep for Nigeria.

A country were the elites hustle the juicy jobs for their kids and MSc holders weep for not getting the poverty suppression program (Npower) . NNPC is planning for recruitment first quarter of next year, and the slots are already been shared. Take it or leave it. Thank God I have AUST Abuja to keep me busy, while I figure out how to leave this country for good. All these are reasons Nigerians in diaspora will never come back...

Those called for the interview, if u know u don't have any top notch. Pray very well... That's my advice for all.

I wish all Nigerians success in our various career pursuit, and pray we all take that decision to speak out always, and let our voice count. Change begins with You and I.

Cheers
DPR changed the interview list as those that got the initial SMS invite in September were the merit guys but one Oga at the top immediately halted the process that morning. It is well with Nigeria.

A big congratulations to those still in the race.
As for those who have not been invited, take heart, leak your wounds (if any) and move on as your hurt is quite less compared to those who won't get the job despite attending and passing the interview. Stop the speculations and permutations now and kiss the truth.

Fact remains that, more than 70% of those with invites now won't get an offer at the very end of it all despite your expenses, brilliance and performance. This is no swear, curse or spite, it is the realistic truth because of how limited the spaces are. It is a case of many are called, but......

Wishing us all success that takes us to higher heights. DPR is only but one opportunity out of a myriad of opportunities in its class. Keep your head up!

What's tha business?

Not being called for the next stage isn't because you are not intelligent. Like I always say, I wrote nothing less than six aptitude tests before I got the job where I work now. If your best is good enough you will get there. Not forgetting that there is factor called favour. Just move on to the next one and keep trying. Don't discourage other people. That was the same thing people said about shell recruitment earlier this year cos they were not called before someone on nairaland later testified he got the job. I'm sure a lot of people following this thread will disagree with some of your comment cos they don't have any insider like you are insinuating. All the best tho.

it is easier for a camel to pass through the needles eye than to get a job at DPR or nnpc

this is the list, presidential list, VP, and speaker senate and house of rep top priority.

next is minister of state of petroleum (kachukwu), then senators and house of rep members .

then other ministers, governors, and lastly major traditional rulers and off course the head of DPR.

the remaining slots are for the exceptionally brilliant ones. in all agencies they live slots for the brilliant ones. its untouchable

that is how it has always been. if your name does not fall under this people. hmmmmmn. now the issue is not your name falling under them but the fact that the slots are not always enough for them CUs there are too many people banking on them. so it is whoever is top priority for them that they help. usually they get 3 to 5 slots each with the exception of the President , VP and speakers who can get as much as 10 to 15 slots.

another problem is quota system. if you are from delta state I'm so sorry for you. kachukwu and the governor plus olu of warri has taken most of the slots. if not all. only God can help you. not to talk of the senators and house of rep members from delta. all this things count a lot. hence you see some states having more candidates. Lagos state also has a prominent king, a minister , a governor who have their own list. so if you are from Lagos its a big problem too.

that is why the common man cannot get jobs in this places.

you have spoken well my brother. But I don't think the speculation going round regarding APC is true. Someone posted in one of the watsap groups that he got a mail even as APC candidate. Let's be hopeful and render help when necessary. what is our will always remain ours.

Good Afternoon everyone.

Congratulations to everyone that got the invite for the interview. Those who think that they got invited for this interview on merit should think again.

In my own case, I knew that I wrote total rubbish in that aptitude test. As a matter of fact, I guessed a majority of the quantitative and the verbal questions, but fortunately for me, I committed my case to God's hand in FAITH and he was indeed faithful to me.

I am not saying this to spite anyone, but I just want to give a word of advice to those who believe that to be successful in this recruitment, you must have a political godfather pulling the strings behind the scenes for you. Please think again, MAN will always fail you, even your parents fail you from time to time. It is only GOD that never fails. It is indeed by his grace alone that I have made it this far.

I thank God for where he has taken me to in this stage and I know that, He will perfect mine and respective testimonies of those reading this, who believe in his name and trust in him. In JESUS name. AMEN

This is so true. After the dpr assessment, i completely removed my mind from working at dpr even though I wrote the test well enough, I believed with the number of applicants and the fact that i didn't know even gateman at dpr my case was over only to get update sms and eventually interview sms. It is ultimately in God's hands, I don't know anyone at dpr so whether I get the job or not I won't be disappointed and I will take it as God's will coz I have prayed and I will continue to read and practice for the interview, but I must leave the rest to God

I honestly don't know even gateman or driver at dpr and I wasn't even confident after the assessment. What I want to tell you is this life is a matter of time and chance and only God can guarantee anything. If after the interview i don't get the job I won't be disappointed one bit coz 1.
I dont have anybody at dpr and 2. It's the will of God. I know it's cliche on this topic to say dpr is not the ultimate, but that's the truth, dpr is just one of many opportunities. I'm pretty sure better things are coming your way wink and finally if u see way to leave this country and better yourself abeg run go, this country no be am

My brother, at this stage of my life, I have learnt to commit my all to God's hand. Except the lord watches a City, the city watchmen watch in vain. it is not to him that willeth, nor to him that runneth, it is to the lord that showeth mercy. It was never in our hands from day one, and it will never be in our hands. Let our corrupt leaders use their corrupt practices to influence the process for all I care, In the end it will all work for our favor. As for me, I will thank the Lord and wait on him. He will never fail
