This year 2018, it will be good to invest our time, money and strength on profitable businesses rather than to spend much of our time and money on time waster and money waster. This year as farmers, we must be able to identify the right time to stock birds in order to maximize our profit. For example, when broiler price is down, it is very lovely to stock at that time, raise those birds and sell them either @ 4th week or frozen size (6-8 weeks).

TIPS OF THE YEAR
1. 4 weeks old broilers are always scarce and demanding every January, that is to say it is good to raise broilers late December/early January for good sales in January.
2. Raising a day old broilers to 4th week old and sell time to time
3. Points of lay pullets (layers) are always scarce and demanding every January to April because most farmers would have sold their spent layers (old layers) at the festive period and at the newly yam harvest of the year, eggs are always demanding which also always boost the sales of point of lay pullets. Time to stock is October to March.
4. You can raise pullets (layers) from a day old and allow them to lay eggs, better still buy them at point of lay and allow them to lay eggs which this investment will provide you a source of daily income through daily sales of egg for the next one to one and half years.
5. Time to stock cockerel for Xmas sales is June/July.
6. Time to stock local turkey (Heritage) for Xmas is April/May.
7. Time to stock raise a day old local poult (turkey) to 6 weeks old is March to June, it is always very much demanding these periods for farmers and individual that want to keep them for December Xmas sales and consumption
8. For foreign turkey is July/August
9. Time to raise 4weeks old broilers for buyers to raise for December Xmas sales and consumption is between August and October
10. Raising a day old broilers to 6-8 weeks old time to time for frozen food sellers etc
11. Invest your time and money wisely this year.
12. Lastly, secure reliable birds to give you comfort this year.
