Truly Zimbabwe and South Africa faced sanction but the issue in Libyan is not government related but individual forming rings to engage in illicit trading of human beings. In a situation like this you can't sanction the country.

Any govt that claims not to know such evil is happening under their watch and don't know is obviously a useless one.

Be it economic sanctions, bans whatever nomenclature should be used as a pressure tool for their government or whoever is in charge to sit up.
The Cnn reporters were actually lead by a security officer to the auction house.
The government of that country should be held responsible.

Can someone give me one valid reason why Claude Puel put Iheanacho on the bench? Apart from pace, wetin Vardy take pass Iheanacho? For me the only more technically gifted forward is Mahrez, yet Okazaki gets to start b4 Iheanacho? I don't get it. I'm trying my best to not call it favouritism or racism. He's not even on the bench!!!
Vardy is a better striker than Nacho. Mahrez now plays behind Vardy and we all know Nacho is no where close to being on his level as a AM.
With the form Gray is showing, Nacho will not get a run of games for a while unless he SERIOUSLY steps up.

"Don't let their FIFA rankings fool you cheesy"
If you were Germany, would you rather have Nigeria in your group? The truth is, no team wants to have the super eagles in their group because it's like having a pot 1 or 2 team in pot 4. That is literally having 4 teams with qualifying uncertainty.

Yes i agreed with you that is a serious case against humanity which must be addressed but sanction can only be carry out if United Nations find out after thorough investigation that Libya government is involved.

Ha! 3-5-2 is not our main formation oo. If we perfect it, it would be just one more weapon in our arsenal in addition to our traditional formations. I don't think it's a bad idea for our national team to have at least 3 formations. Germany has at least 8.

Yeah, we should have our regular 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 but should also be able to switch almost effortlessly to 3-5-2 with some vital players substitutions.

Exclusive: Rohr opens World Cup door to Martins

Obafemi Martins could have a chance to play at another World Cup if he keeps maintains his scoring form, Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr has told KweséESPN.
The 33-year-old, who plays in China for Shanghai Shenhua, has scored 16 goals in 39 appearances, with his last goal coming in Sunday's 3-2 second leg win over SIPG to lead his team to the Chinese FA Cup title.
The Nigerian also scored the only goal of the first leg, which saw Shenhua progress on the away-goal rule.
Martins also boasts a respectable goalscoring record at international level, netting 18 in 41 appearances, but has only played for the Super Eagles four times since 2010, with his last two appearances coming in 2015, despite impressive showings with Seattle Sounders in the MLS and now Shanghai Shenhua.
However, Rohr says he is willing to chat to the Martins to increase his options up-front.
"Yes, the door is open to all our best players, including Martins. He is scoring a lot of goals and we need to get competition for all the positions, especially centre-forward.
"For now, we have Kelechi [Iheanacho] who is playing not all the time. [But ] we played with Kelechi against Argentina and he did well.
Then Anthony [Nwakaeme] also did well against Algeria and [Odion] Ighalo, who is injured now, did very well against Cameroon. But we have also other players, like the young boy [Victor] Osimhen, and we have to look everywhere.
"We have a lot of opportunities for the strikers, and so Martins, if he is scoring goals, will be welcome."

Racism at times might seem to exclude a certain portion of the particular race but it is still good old racism. If Nigerians are being benched in the top leagues for the simple fact that they are Nigerians then it is racism, the fact that we only have 2 regulars is at the least suspicious.

Effortlessly, that's the word.

4-3-3 and 4-5-1 are basically the same abi cos 4-5-1 looks like the shape a 4-3-3 takes when the team loses the ball with the lone striker poised for counters.

BS upon BS! You guys should stop all these nonsense with writing off Nigerian players even before they are given a chance to perform!

On what basis are you claiming that Vardy is a better striker than Nacho? Listen until a player is given chances to perform and he fails to deliver, please don't sit there and claim that this person or that person is better than him. How many games has Nacho started at Leicester since he was signed? And if they knew that all these players were better than him why did they spend almost $30m on him? So he can sit on the bench? Do you even know the damage sitting on the bench does to a player's confidence?

Look at what happened to Mo Sallah at Chelsea. If he's a Nigerian, folks like you would write him off. But the point is, he wasn't given a chance at Chelsea. When he stepped out and performed at Roma, Liverpool came calling and today he's the top EPL scorer. Imagine if he had stayed at Chelsea ... he would still be riding bench.

But nobody talked about him when we were sweating on how to beat Cameroun and Zambia. Football is business. The aim of all business is to maximise profit.
The question is how could Leicester splash that amount on him and just because they want to be racist, they'd keep Iheanacho on the Bench? Racism at the cost of 25 million? Is that it?
What of Ndidi? How come he so magically escapes this racist trap set by the powers-that - be at Leicester to the extent that he's clocked 30 uninterrupted appearances since he was bought January this year by the same Leicester City where Nacho is?

Nobody is talking about racism here. The point I made, which you conveniently failed to address, is that Nacho hasn't really been given a chance to perform. Hence, it doesn't make sense to write him off if he hasn't been given an opportunity to play. The only thing we know for sure is that they have kept him on the bench for whatever reason. If they have given him chances upon chances and he fails to deliver then they can justify keeping him on the bench. After spending about $30m on a player, one would expect that they would give the player a few chances to play with the team. And it isn't like the players keeping him on the bench are setting the league on fire either!

This is not the time to start applying false equivalence, let's discuss Kelechi's situation on its own merits (or lack thereof). Anyway, I hope Kelechi requests a loan move in January.

Well, I might have used racism cos some suggested that if he were an English man he'd be treated differently.
The truth is none of knows why he's not getting game time. We are left with good or bad guesses. But it's safe to say that if he's up to scratch they'd feature him as leaving him out(for whatever reason) makes no sense.
That chance has to be earned ooo. It's not just given. Shakespeare didn't give him a chance, Claude Puel too. Bros look at it again - the constant is Nacho

I hope this 3-5-2 will not scattered this team in the WC,just 45 minutes performance against Argentina it seems we want to neglect our original pattern which is 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3.

As you have rightly said we are having issues with our LWB and i don't see moses playing RWB in the WC meaning we have limited players to play 3-5-2.Aina,Shehu,Ebuhei,Idowu are all RB with only Echiejele LB and he cannot function as LWB,Idowu and Aina can only be a makeshift players at LB.Even Ebuhei cannot do it as LWB as he does at RWB.

I watched Ebuhei against Mainz 05 in a friendly this season,he first started at the Right side and his performance was average,in the second half he was moved to left side, his performance was below par meaning he would be useful at RB.

Good the 45 minutes against Argentina see all the players turning to Superstars even Iwobi who was awful in the first half later put MOTM performance.Something tells me if Rohr started Ebuhei and Idowu we will still have the same performance in the first half.

Rohr should know he can't get a perfect team so he should start now, enough of switchers, with the full backs at his disposal i don't see any issue.Spain won WC with false striker in Fabregas

3-5-2 is delicate if you don't have good players to prosecute it,better for us to continue with our traditional formations but if needs arise we can use 3-5-2 but it should not be the main formation or else we pay dearly for it.
Well said.

See Bro no need for us to keep fighting on this Martins and the oldies issue. I prefer the young ones 100%.
Rohr knows what he is doing. Shebi Nwakali came to camp and couldn't cut it. His matter don snooze. Osimhen(although Rohr has his eyes on this boy.) too was given opportunity. He don enter snooze for now.
So don't worry. We don't have anything to lose. Let Martins be invited. If he cuts it. Fine. The team has gotten an attacker be that. If he doesn't cut it, we move on. Ee easy for this present crop of Eagles? Ighalo chop bench in our match against Algeria. He was frozen out. He came back. Iheanacho, Omeruo, Musa, Ndidi, Etebo chop bench too. Ogu, Agu, Nwakaeme, Agbo, Ebuehi, dem chop bench tire. Kayode, Onyekwuru are on the fringes of the team. Are you see what I am saw?
My point is this team is tough. Competition for roles is high. Let them invite Martins. His performance or non performance will settle a lot of arguments.

Ok I’ve been on transit. Just finished catching up with all the posts.

On KC, he will need to weather the storm. I was among those who clamored for his departure from Man City, but I had rather preferred he moved to Germany. Well the situation is what it is. It appears he is facing the same music in Leicester. Well not actually the same. This music is a bad bad record. He would have looked better being benched by the likes of Jesus and Aguero in a team with a blistering form so far, than that lowly Leicester. Let truth be told, Leicester is making him look very bad considering his potentials that we’ve always seen in him. The solution for him is to fight his way back to reckoning. He needs to challenge the likes of Vardy to show he is really that player we see him as. As far as SE is concerned, I’m comfortable with him.

On Kayode. He still has a lot to prove that his exploits in the Austrian Bundealiga was not a fluke. For SE, he has a mountain to climb.

The records were that no European country has ever won the WC outside Europe. Germany bursted that record.
Whether we win the next WC or the one in Qatar or any WC for that matter it's going to be by bursting what bookmakers say. We won't win normally. It would be full of surprises.

Exactly! You made my point, bro. There are a 1001 reasons why a coach may not like to play you. It doesn't necessarily mean that you're doing something wrong. Sometimes you just gotta step away from that situation and find a better place for yourself. Unfortunately, an average Nigerian tend to kick a man when he's down even before critically analyzing the situation!

I will be the first person to criticize Kelechi is he's been given chances upon chances and he failed to deliver. But that's not the case here. Yet some folks still have the audacity to talk smack about him. I remember that under some coaches at Chelsea, Mikel Obi was benched by all manner of journey men including Romeu (sp). But when Chelsea got a coach like Ancellotti and Guus Hiddink, you see Mikel playing practically every game. What change? Nothing but the coach.

Some folks simply don't get it.
