"Far from willingly conceding their territory to the military patrols, the people of Southeastern Nigeria opposed the British advance in more than three hundred pitched battles over a twenty year period, suffering at least ten thousand casualties. [...] Although violent resistance could not halt the British advance, it was effective in moderating and speed and thoroughness of that advance and in enabling Southeastern Nigerians to retain a measure of self-determination over the rate at which they absorbed technological and other changes"

Yes. We will get there. But first, our unity is paramount, expecially with our brothers accross the politically gerimandered divide.

There were two MAJOR resistance from the Igbos against the British colonials.

1) The one led by the Aro-confederacy and lasted for about 20 years. This confederacy included the surrounding ibibios

2) Ekwumekwu resistance led by the Anioma Igbos for almost 30 years.

There is a reason why the British hated Igbos during their rule in Nigeria. Igbos made it difficult for them. This also made them worried that an Igbo leadership in Nigeria would make it very difficult for them to control and exploit Nigeria in the future. That's why the so called Christian British embraced the Muslim north and helped them to manipulate the census> this was confessed by Harold smith.

So why do you people keep infiltrating other people's lands?

You want freedom but can't let go of Lagos, Abuja, Portharcourt etc..

Which yeye freedom are you fighting for.. Even after serving you quit notice, your red cap elders went to prostrate for Arewa youths to let them stay.

Stop overflogging your importance.. You lots are parasites that won't just keep quiet.

Infact you lots were lucky they didn't auction you into slave trade like the Libyans do with other Africans caught. You're just so lucky.

Edwin Clark is a paradox of idiocy. He ranks equilaterally with David Ejoor in compound foolishness.
