When u want to buy a hacked console, have one thing @ the back of your mind, it will develop fault sooner or later because the hacking has altered the mechanism of the console. Am enjoying my console after the experience with a prior hacked one, yes cds are a bit expensive but u can get used ones for less price and later swap. U hack, remember u have hacked a problem for yourself.

Untill recently most ps3s werr hacked by openimg them up and flashing the nor chip. When thy are opened, the processor is seperated from the heat sink, theres no one in nigeria that can put it back the way machines assembled it, closest to that level of hardware repair i know is olumide in alaba/orile, hence the statement that hacked games are liable to die young

I agree with you bro, most repairers don't know how much thermal paste is too much or too little. They usually do a slipshod job with hacking the consoles and as a result the consoles rarely last long. With software hacks however that has changed.
