What Nigerians Do Not Understand About The World by ezeagu(m): 8:44pm On Nov 30, 2017 |
If you look at nairaland's politics section, it's still filled with ethnic bickering despite the news that thousands of Nigerian youths are being traded as slaves in the Arab world (not just Libya). One thing black Africans in general do not understand is that no matter how much animosity there is between ethnic groups, all other groups are looking to exploit and even possibly wipe out black Africans because they see them as weak links. How is it that there is a protest against an ethnic group in Nigeria, but the worry over youths in Libya has not gone past the internet in Nigeria? Is it because it's easier to fight inside, or because the average black African does not have the guts to face Arabs, Chinese, Indians, and other races? Imagine if this enslavement were to have happened in Ghana, there would have been a war between the two countries citizens, but not a pim has been said to Arabs. Therein lies your problem. 2 Likes |

It's actually to the best interest of an average black African that their neighbour succeeds. It is not possible to have an island of prosperity while others are oppressed by outsiders, those outsiders will gang up and spoil whatever you have worked for. 2 Likes |

ezeagu: Are you be any means referring to the Yoruba and Igbo Cold War? If yes, that Cold War would soon metamorphose to a real civil war in Nigeria. We are appalled with what is happening in Libya but the Yoruba race cannot continue to turn a blind eye to igbo hate. These wars online would soon spill offline and there shall be massive loss of lives and destruction of property. Yorubas are not the cause of Igbo misfortune in Nigeria. Igbo should rather look inward and go back enmasse to the east. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Alcatraz005: Okay, so when are you going to start a "cold war" with Libya and Chinese and Indians? Surely if the "Yoruba race" is so powerful that they can stand on their own, they're going after the Chinese and Indians who are encroaching them all around and abusing their people in Lagos in Chinese, Lebanese, and Indian owned businesses? 6 Likes |

ezeagu: Let Yorubas deal with the Chinese at their own convenience. We are mostly concerned about the insolence of our own African neighbors who have chosen to be so antagonistic to their fellow southerners in their cities. I do hope for the sake of igbos in general that a riot doesn’t breakout soon. The level of anti igbo sentiments is at an all time high in yorubaland. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Nonsense. The Sokoto Islamic Caliphate prides itself over the conquest and enslavement of fellow black Africans. The mainstay of the Caliphate was a slave based economic model. Kano was a major slave market that supplied Slaves for the trans-saharan slave trade. Slavery was officially abolished in Northern Nigeria as late as 1936! 2 Likes 2 Shares |

ezeagu: If you look around the world, there is current reestablishment of peoples' ethnicity associated with a nation. There is nothing such as "Black Africans". The lack of ethnical identity with respect to nation have forced most Africans to assume a form of irresponsible thing out of color chart as an identifying attribute. Nigerians have no identify so are most African countries. As fighting each other, most dumbass Nigerians will continue to fight one another until the cesspit is disintegrated into nation states. 2 Likes |
