i brought tecno l9 plus on the 10-06-2017 from Pec just of recent the charging point is not working i have to return the phone back because it was covered with 12month warranty, i receive the greatest shock of my life today when i received a call from calcare center from lagos that the board is not working and i have to pay 42500k


my question is how come the board is not working afterall i use the phone before the battery is low and before I'm unable to charge please what do u think is wrong?? expert in the house please help

Baba take ur fone receipt back to them and show them that u just bought the fone. Why didnt u take it back to the place where u initially purchased the fone from?

Carlcare sometimes are very useless. It might have gotten damaged from them but trying to push it to you.

Pay for what exactly? Warranty na Warranty (as far as T&Cs are not breached). My ex-W4 was closing in on its warranty validation and it developed a fault which would require a sub-panel replacement. My dear, I no pay shi shi and the phone was repaired in less than a day sef. [s]I will suggest OP collect his phone and visit another Carlcare branch, if the charge rate story still persists, find a very reliable Third party phone repairer to help you change the damn port. Life no Hard now! No be some people dey repair phone before Carlcare establish its enterprise[/s]

I no know wetyn you fit do but I will advise that you give it to experienced phone engineer as the fault could only be Software-related and the Carlcare agents are trying to milk you. In essence, Try a software approach before venturing into Hardware

I am equally surprised.. Lemme do what I can by CCing: fratermathy, who had a nasty experience with Carlcare Agents but was able to pull through while aided and abetted by Upper Management. big thanks to everyone finally i get my phone working it cost me just 4500naira you wont believe the phone only got battery problem and it working perfectly bigs thanks you can now see pec or tecno customer service they are all scam asking for 42000 to repaire a phone....

Well as far as it can get, humans will try to secure their spots in a firm. It could be the staff are employed and retained based on how much they can remit at the end of the month perhaps day. I am not justifying that uncultured and totally deplorable act. Moreso, Laziness didn't allow them to run a diagnosis, they just dumped it on you.

Last thought is, in Nigeria, workers tend to render services based on their current moods... might be the person who answered you was frustrated.... And again, It is wrong.

In all, i am glad you got it repaired for what will seem like a token compared to what an officially assigned centre charged... Ensure to use an appropriate charger henceforth... Happy Usage
