Afonjas have never developed anything even the part the developed in Lagos turned out to be slums, that is why the Lagos state government have stopped selling lands to afonjas just take a look at Mushin, Oshodi, Agege, Egbeda, Ketu, Ikorodu, etc, now look at Ibadan and other SW capitals then you will understand what the term development means to south westerners. But look at Igbo Areas in Lagos like Okota, Amuwo Odofin, Festac, Satellite, Canal etc then look at other SE capitals and you will understand who developed Lagos. Afonjas who can't even develop their one time regional capital Ibadead to be as decent as Owerri talkless of Enugu want to be attributed with the development of lagos. Thieves.

No wonder people call you mugus and treat you as slaves. You travelled from the South East to till our lands for us and you still think you are not our slaves. When you die, you will be taken back be buried in Abakaliki while we allow your son to continue your uncompleted slavery or outrightly take the land he is tilling.Everybody knows that Yorubas control the economy of Nigeria reason why Yorubaland is the 3rd economy in Africa.Do you still think you are not our slaves?

you get it wrong bro,

Development is dynamic and an encompassing systemic scope...

those things you listed are thing you get from government, what happens when government doesn't provide them? remember igbos still complain of marginalization because our development is people centered and not government....is it our duty to build bridges or government? what of research institutes, hospitals and all that? sure we have them also, private school, hospitals and what have you..

mind you, south west have ondo and ibadan airports, but are all shadows of themselves while Imo and Enugu airports are some of the busiest airports in Nigeria, added to them is Asaba and Portharcourt airport too, also busy plus anambra airport that is coming up...so tell me, why the east is not more developed

infact, you just proved why igbos complain of marginalization, no federal government presence or project..also cofirming that without government, yorubaland cannot develop on its own....that is why you people carry Nigeria for head like sacrifices. you guys are the most beneficial of the Nigerian project and in a very selfish manner, only to turn back to insult those your are milking..

again, high rise building come when it is matured to have it...there are not need for highrise building yet in the east because the demand for such is not yet there..it like building a skyscraper in oshogbo, for what? infact, if you like to know, by the time igboland is in full charge, when Nigeria is restructured, igboland will have more skyscraper per meter square than any region in Nigeria because our land is small and to maximize our land, development will be more intensive than extensive...already we have more multi-storey building than any region in the country, that is why you can hardly find bungalows in any major city in the east

the one in ibadan is just wasting there with no use...it is functionally and economically dormant...just dome is active..

schools depends on demand and many are springing up daily in the east,,you cant categorically claim the west has more schools or universities than the east anyways...India has more universities than Germany yet Germany is more developed.. even Germany has the least skyscrapers amongst the developed countries, that doesn't make them less developed.

development to me is people centered, standard of living, serene environment, affordable food, good roads, night life and recreation, civilized and educated community, security, accessibility to good hospitals, schools and market etc...the list is endless..

stop using cocoa building of ibadan to measure development..its either your poorly educated or you are just a typical afonja

look at cocoa house and its environment, a highrise building in the middle of a slum..

We all knew the ratakmania was suicidal and the only thing he succeeded in conquering was himself, when he patronized the Aba world famous Ratak. I think the Aba ratak deserves a statue in afonja land in his stead. grin
D defeat was so excrutiating that d fountain of bitterness against d yorubas was transfered from generation to generation like Barton changing hands, instead of forming a strong allegiance to punctuate or counter d dominance of d north.

Which land is filled with refuge everywhere? Oyo, Ondo, Ogun, or Osun? They are filled with refuge everywhere and your people run there for survival and supressing their infrastructure. Your land is small. You must accept that. This is why your new buildimgs are visible. Yorubaland on the other side is bigger. So new buildings are not located on one side.
You just mention Isreal and Nigeria. Wait are we talking of economy as a whole or infrastructure?

Tell the mumu that thinks 3000 buildings set and placed in the same place means development to be compared to buildings that are thrice that size and even the most industrialized region in Nigeria and 3rd economy in Africa.I missed this thread.
I would just splash only the pictures of Ibadan only and none of the pangolos FKO81 posted from their tiny enclave would come near.
People that cannot produce something like the cocoa house and some other fascinating infrastructures around it.Ibadan looks like Cleveland in USA while igboland looks like Namibia ..lol

It's a pity I came late to this party, I have been to most of those places you mentioned, my work involved mapping and I've been to most part of Nigeria, the south east and south south are mostly developed in their capitals, the south east is worst with forest everywhere and buildings hidden in deep forest, it was a shock to me when I saw it everywhere, they don't have a social culture of building beside each other but to build far apart from each other with forest separating them, that is why most of their women can ride okada because their is no commercial vehicles to link all these forest to facilities like school and market, you have to treck or ride your own vehicle whereas all over south west you can see development everywhere, most of you have never explored other south westerners town, even a Yoruba town that you have never heard the name before is developed in terms of basic facilities, it's just deep seated hatred, envy and bitterness that will not allow you guys to say the truth, the whole world knows the truth, south west is the most developed, nothing can change that, apart from warrI and port Harcourt, all other south south cities has nothing spectacular than most south west cities,

just look at who is talking about basic necessities even Abeokuta as a state capital can't boast of common water !
if you have truly been to these places as you claim you would be more specific and tell me so n so place doesn't hv this and that
but you only rush to talk because you want to be part of the thread my dear those that know the places I mentioned know swerve !
