You yoruba losers are not even ashamed of yourselves...when the going was hot, the igbos were posting pictures right left and center.. pictures of their neighborhood, homes, streets and drone views, all you cowards ran away to hide...the igbos have retreated after several plead to them to reduce the massacre being met out at you guys, now you guys have cowardly struck out your necks to start posting google map pictures of your slums.. not hood pictures or street pictures because shame will not allow you.. dont worry we will help you get drone pictures of all the capital cities in the south west before the mid of next year.

Again i have noticed igbos have succeeded in winning the argument that lagos, though based in the southwest cannot represent the southwest when arguments on development comes up because it is truly a no mans land and am glad you idiots have conceded to that, hence you guys have shifted to Ibadan. Good as that is, my question is, like the igbos who proudly posted pictures of cities from all their states even down to Abakaliki, but here for yoruba instead of posting pictures of their cities, they are posting google map pictures and only that of ibadan.....Is ibadan the only city in the southwest? why are you yorubas ashamed and not proud of your other cities....what has happened to Abeokuta, Oshogbo, Ado Ekiti, Akure, Ogbomosho, Gbongan, Ikire, Oyo, Ondo, saki, Ore and all all yorubas towns and cities?

Again instead posting pictures of southwestern cities to prove critics wrong, you guys are desperately trying hard to mock igbos cities by downloading pictures that are not of igboland from google to posted them as to represent igboland, many of which are even of yorubaland especially the picture of flood and the wrecked bridge which is of oyo state. WE ONLY DEMAND FOR PICTURES OF THE ELDORADO DEVELOPMENT IN SOUTHWEST OUTSIDE LAGOS. SINCE YOU GUYS SAY THE SOUTHEAST IS NOT DEVELOPED. POST PICTURES OF THE SOUTHWESTERN CITIES AND LET VIEWERS AND NAIRALANDERS BE THE JUDGE .I DON'T THINK IT IS TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR...JUST POST PICTURES, POST PICTURES OOOOOOOOOOO grin

truly you guys are not proud of them because you all know as it is clear to even the blind and the most haters of igbos that yorubaland is light years behind Southeastern and south southern cities/towns interms of development, standard of living, organization and hygene

lagos has been the smoke screen all these years but as years and exposing comes, people are begining to see that the southwest have all been living on past glory .
My candid advise for you people is to Fight hard for restructuring or better still fight for your independent nation where you can be in control and determine your development, if not i just pity you guys....

Dont compare yourselves with the igbos..igbos are a different people from the regular African race...they are less dependent on central authority, control or government and probably one of the most self reliant people on the face of this earth, hence government or no government, they are naturally progressive and change agents...development, change and innovation is in their blood, it is part of their culture even in precolonial times. They have been ancient traders and never had a central monarchical system or government to fend for them or determine their direction of development....they just did their thing and things were moving smoothly....

Instead of hating on the igbos, just humble yourslves and learn from them and move on...learn that part of them that will be beneficial to you...

finally, on the issue of lagos, if you like sell all your lands including inheritance in lagos to the igbos and not leave some for your future generation, hoping one day you will have them back in the name of being an indigene...well let me tell you what the future will look like if Nigeria remains and the trend is not stopped..

By the time you sell most of your lands in Lagos to igbos, it will be very difficult to send, chase or denial igbos their right in Lagos especially as their population keeps growing..if you doubt that igbo population is not yet more than that of yorubas in lagos, then be rest assured that in the coming years igbos will overshadow yorubas in lagos and again carefully read the pictures i posted below to understand the trend of igbo migration since 1911 and as it was in the north also. Once that happens it will accumulate to political control of their areas the same way they control their markets in lagos, from local government chairman, to speaker, to senate and to governor...it has already started...your only way out is to support Biafra because even with restructuring they are still Nigerian citizen and will and must exercise their rights....

Let he who has ears listen...yoruba ronu...

Just to add
Regarding open defecation, the highest proportion (8.8%) was found in the North Central zone,
followed by the South West (6.5%) and then North East (4.3%) zones. By contrast, a lower percentage
was recorded in the South East (3.8%) and the lowest in the North West (3.6%). The likely reason for
higher prevalence of open defection in the North Central and South West zones is that their forest
vegetation provides more room for the practice, unlike the grassland vegetation in the North West
where the practice is the least used. Although, South East zone has more dense vegetation but has
lower prevalence of open defecation than the North East, suggesting an influence of other factors
such as education and wealth.

Why don't you snap the entire city? Is it only one estate you have in Ibadan?

even though the picture you posted is that of flood in benue state, it is very sad and shameful that you are comparing flooding, a natural disaster to poverty, a self inflicted disaster caused by laziness and poor hygiene of yoruba indigenes...

Look how backwards, uncivilized and rustic your towns and cities look....even with beautiful bridges and roads, they still look dirty, ugly and backwards because of that fundamental problem which is of no government fault but that of the oridinay citizens, which is laziness, poverty and poor hygiene....thats why you guys still poo openly because your houses don't have inbuilt toilets.

Despite all the advantages you guys had after the civil war, you couldnt make anything out of it...the igbos with 20pounds have rebuilt their cities and are buying up the avaliable choice land and properties in lagos,is that not shameful for a people that pride themselves as educated and sophiscated who love to show off with flamboyant weddings? You guys have all ran to Lagos and abandoned you other towns in Oshogbo, ife, ede, ogbomosho, Ondo, Gbongon, Saki, Iwo, ota, shagamu Ado ekiti, Akure, Abeokuta and ibadan

Remove Lagos, Yorubaland is backwards...#facts

Abeokuta the capital of Ogun state

This is what yoruba call development, beautiful bridge in the mist of poverty and slum....

like i said the backwardness of the southwest is not the fault of their governments but the fundamental disease and self inflicted natural disaster of laziness, poverty, unenterprising nature and poor hygiene of the people.. even if their government build all the beautiful road, bridges and sky scrapper, they will still be backwards, because of their laziness, uninovative and slow pace of adopting change and development.

just look at what igbos have been able to do for themselves without government help...Just imagine lagos was in the east or calabar was the capital which is closer to the east, the west would have been like a nuclear waste site..

you get it wrong bro,

Development is dynamic and an encompassing systemic scope...

those things you listed are thing you get from government, what happens when government doesn't provide asm? remember igbos still complain of marginalization because our development is people centered and not government....is it our duty to build bridges or government? what of research institutes, hospitals and all that? sure we have them also, private school, hospitals and what have you..

mind you, south west have ondo and ibadan airports, but are all shadows of themselves while Imo and Enugu airports are some of the busiest airports in Nigeria, added to them is Asaba and Portharcourt airport too, also busy plus anambra airport that is coming up...so tell me, why the east is not more developed

infact, you just proved why igbos complain of marginalization, no federal government presence or project..also cofirming that without government, yorubaland cannot develop on its own....that is why you people carry Nigeria for head like sacrifices. you guys are the most beneficial of the Nigerian project and in a very selfish manner, only to turn back to insult those your are milking..

again, high rise building come when it is matured to have it...there are not need for highrise building yet in the east because the demand for such is not yet there..it like building a skyscraper in oshogbo, for what? infact, if you like to know, by the time igboland is in full charge, when Nigeria is restructured, igboland will have more skyscraper per meter square than any region in Nigeria because our land is small and to maximize our land, development will be more intensive than extensive...already we have more multi-storey building than any region in the country, that is why you can hardly find bungalows in any major city in the east

the one in ibadan is just wasting there with no use...it is functionally and economically dormant...just dome is active..

schools depends on demand and many are springing up daily in the east,,you cant categorically claim the west has more schools or universities than the east anyways...India has more universities than Germany yet Germany is more developed.. even Germany has the least skyscrapers amongst the developed countries, that doesn't make them less developed.

development to me is people centered, standard of living, serene environment, affordable food, good roads, night life and recreation, civilized and educated community, security, accessibility to good hospitals, schools and market etc...the list is endless..

stop using cocoa building of ibadan to measure development..its either your poorly educated or you are just a typical afonja

look at cocoa house and its environment, a highrise building in the middle of a slum..

@bolded are one of the reasons the SE is still largely underdeveloped because they have cajoled them to believe aspects of government is irrelevant. Whereas, in regards to aspect of government, the rational behind the establiment of ANY government is to actualize the NEEDS of the people on behalf of whom it is created in the first instance, which for this reason, people often give their mandate to a set of people to lead them WITHIN a FRAMEWORK OF SOCIAL CONTRACT.

In this case, the government is charged with the responsibility of providing essential services, peace and security to the people and the people are obliged to perform certain civic duties to the government.

In order for the actualization and realization of the OVERALL SET GOALS of the political system, Institution and processes MUST be put in place by any responsible government.

Please, take note that Institutions are prerequisite mechanisms or corporate entities put in place to enable a system (state) to ACHIEVE its OBJECTIVES AND AIMS. Among which Bureaucracy is that essential institution and engine room through which the government effectively fulfills its objectives and meets the yearnings of the people.

Now, if you claim and insist that SE development is people centered and not government centered then, it is confirmed that there is no prerequisite mechanism in place to put in motion the OVERALL SET GOALS of the political system in the SE for the achievement and realization of development in the SE. That's, people are just building houses without drainage and water supply from the government. People are not guaranteed security and good roads even after building mansions. Since, there is no security, no tangible investment in the land leading to unemployment. No quality and affordable health services and no quality and affordable education. No better means of transportation. Etcetera

Simply put, no goal, no future, no directiom because no government.

You must be ignorant at best.

But your ignorance and hypocrisy didn't tell you that the best thing you claimed that has better advantage than the SW was set in motion by one of the bureaucracy institutions put in place by the same government you belittled. This statement is in regard to the airports at Owerri and Enugu.

My friend, your projection is a diversion from the failures of government in SE in their inabilities to respect and conform to the social contract btw them and the people, but unfortunately, you are ignorantly and unnecessarily trying hard to belittling and desmising the ever existencing, effective and efficient aspects of government that has worked and is being employed by the most advanced and developed countries in the world. Who are you to belittling the most essential and important aspects of government?

If SE boast in lack of Government, sorry, other parts know the importance of government and that is why there is rapid development in other region. Thank you.

They have been ancient trades and never had a central monarchical system or government to fend for them or determine their direction of development....they just did their thing and things were moving smoothly....

Isn't Ibadan the biggest city SLUM in Africa? So it must have more than one street and one estate right?

Why can't you proudly show us Ibadan at the elevation below? What are you hiding?
As if we don't know what Ibadan looks like. grin grin grin grin grin

Dude, I am not here to engage in useless argument with you. You know the truth and so do I.

You are asking me to zoom in to see if Enugu has dual carriageway abi? You can find that for yourself, i don't have time for silly questions. While you are at it, make sure you count how many dual carriageways Enugu has, then compare it with Ibadan grin grin grin grin grin grin

Truth is that you know Ibadan is a huge slum being passed as a city. Infact, the biggest slum in Africa, much bigger than Kibera.

Infact, forget Enugu, go and look at Kaduna, Kano, Maiduguri, Jos, Dutse etc etc etc,
There is none of them that look like Ibadan. They are true CITIES and not the conurbation of mega SLUM called Ibadan.

Since you won't travel, Go see it for yourself and do something about it instead of playing ostrich and making fun of yourself.
