A big shout out to all those who have contributed greatly to the forum. Been a silent reader of this forum since 2weeks now. I have read and gained so much as I got to know of letter of intent etc which I had no idea of in the past. I will like to find out is it possible for one to be pregnant and get to find out close to 4th month. No pregnancy signs, not even in any way looking pregnant as stomach is as flat as a piece of slice bread. I have Google's search and I saw so many replies stating the possibilities. I even read a. Particular which states 1 in 450women don't know they are pregnant till 5month while 1 in about 1,000 don't know why they are pregnant till they are due for labor. Am a bit confused though doctor says all is fine, scan results reveal baby is doing well . Now I want to apply strictly for B2 (childbirth) next year as EDD is May. Informed my sis last week and she's already helping me with getting a correspondence and cost of child birth in Indiana as that's her base. Now the issue is? How do I present my case to the VO as I didn't know I was pregnant initially? (Or say it's to my advantage the visa wasn't granted as am not even ready to go tru the change of intent, poe and renewal denials palava)...... When do you advise I schedule a visa interview appointment?( though am thinking of picking a date late Jan or early Feb) more so I need your contributions what went wrong when I went for my b1b2 visa interview on 9th Nov, location was Abuja but was declined, Here goes my transcript: VO: Good morning. passports pls ( me hands it over to him.) your occupation? Me: Am a French language instructor at xxxxxy, Im also a co-presenter a French program on radio Unilag 103.1fm, holds on Saturday's 12noon-12:30pm and I also own a business where I supply stationeries in wholesales and retails (sponsor on my DS160form is hubby) VO: have you travelled out of the country before? Me: yes . Travelled to Benin republic almost on a yearly basis on excursion almost on a yearly basis with KY students. VO: OK. why are you going to the US? Me: to attend my elder sister's graduation ceremony at xxxxxxxxx VO: how long to you intend to stay in US? Me : one week so I can quickly return to prepare my students for this year's first trimester examination. VO: Your sisters status in the USA? Me: LPR. She met her blhubby while schooling and they got married. VO: so how long has she been in the USA? Me: 5 yrs VO: Does that mean she's been studying nursing for 5years? Me: I said no, that she studied another course before moving to nursing VO: which course? Me: Mathematics VO: any correlation between nursing and maths... ( him thinking and trying to figure out) ....hmmmmm OK. Do you have any child/ children? Me : No I don't VO: Are you expecting any? Me : Non for now but hubby and I are hoping to have one soon. VO: Am sorry your visa can't be approved at this time. (then he hands me a pink copy section 214b stating reason for the rejection ) Na so I carry my file waka was so sad.... Biko make una forgive my long post but I just have to explain my situation clearly. Im earnestly looking forward to your replies to my case oo....... |

[quote author=Senatornuella post=62865027]Fellow nairalanders, what my eyes have seen with my host is nothing I have seen my whole life. I have proof of everything I say here today, even pictures of the said apartment. This sounds like Racheal!!! I had a bitter experience with her too, she's the worst.I paid Racheal 1200 a month and she still demanded I pay utility bill which she wanted to collect like $100 a week, my cousin visited me from Nigeria and stayed 2 weeks and Racheal collected $250 from her, Racheal turned off the light and I and my new born ,toddler and mom slept in that excruciating Houston August heat .I cried cause if I were back in Nigeria at least I would have turned on my Gen. She has an accomplice who happens to be her boyfriend. Thank God she's gonna be exposed , she keeps saying Nigerians this and that yet she's the worst Nigerian I have ever met. 3 Likes |

To think that this Rayray of a woman has done this same thing to a lot of women here and you ppl have kept quiet and allowed her to getaway with this kind of nonsense, were you people afraid of doing wahala with her because you were in a foreign land? Well someone needs to teach her a lesson o. 6 Likes |

Abujaniv seems to be interested in this Rayray story. Because yesterday they were silently reading up the complaints in this room for quite a while (monitoring spirit things). Please guys with the amount mentioned here you can get quality apartments in these locations. You are traveling to a foreign country the last thing you want to do is have an address that is not completely verified as hospitable as a pregnant woman. I am sure the VOs will start looking into this more critically as one of the criteria for rejecting visa applications. Your experiences could have been worst. Stay safe. 2 Likes |

He is probably the one who sent me a message saying to contact her for an apartment. As if I knew, I told my husband she seemed to desperate, messaging me up and down and when I told her her place was too far from the hospital she deleted me. Lol Oh well, they have both been exposed. Hello everyone,I'm new here.just need ur candid opinion.I got my visiting visa early Nov,planned to travel in Dec and also got a new job in Nov,and so I can't travel in Dec again as I'm currently on 3 month probation.I also discovered I was pregnant late Sept before I went for interview but I went for scan and no gestational scan was seen.I was told misabortion in d hospital and to go with my normal life.mid Nov I went for a scan in clinix to just check myself out and pregnancy was confirmed this time.my current plan with husband is to gv birth in US with my tourist visa.he's of the opinion I don't need to register or contact any hospital till I get in US.When we get there then I register.Chicago precisely.I have plan to travel in April that time I will be around 8months.I will be off probation at wk at that time.I have a 2 bro in law in Chicago that I can stay with. One of them is a nurse in cook county hosp.I also hrd that Chicago POE is strict. We currently have plan to hold enough cash at point of entry.my visa is a new one that I've nt use at all.I have also sent letter of intent to embassy on it last week sun till now I've not gotten any response from them.I just need suggestions if all I'm doing is save and is not going to affect my visa renewal.pls help a sis. |

honeywealth: You obviously have not read this forum at all. What you want to do has some serious repercussions. If you don't get a Dr & hospital correspondence before leaving naija you are likely to be sent back with your big belle at Poe. Your being pregnant and not knowing during your interview which lead to your not telling the VO, might give you issues during renewal. Cause they might think that you held back vital information If I were you, I'll try to get or tell my bro in-law to get me Dr and hospital correspondence since he's a nurse and travel with that. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY READ UP HERE. It'll help you a great deal 3 Likes |

Hello gudday, I am new here, had our b1 b2 interview on 18th nov we were denied. Purpose of visit Is to have our baby in the USA, applied for another interview on the 22nd. After the interview VO asked to drop our documents for further verification, submitted my call to bar certificate, letter from NBa warri branch, bank statements,my hubby's company registration documents, hospital correspondence and dr correspondence,. that all the VO asked for, and she asked us to go with our passports if they are needed mail will be sent to ask asking us to courier them. My hubby got mail to come pick up our documents and also stating that the passport been returned is his quoting his passport number and location vi Lagos. I also tracked our application status it says visa denied. I tracked the passport numb it says visa granted passport ready for collection We are confused, has anyone been in this position? |

Hi, letter of intent can't update your record at the embassy. You have to reapply for visa to declare your intention to give birth. You will need doctors correspondence and evidence that you can pay your bills. Best of luck. honeywealth: |

TWoods: Beg to differ, even if there wasn't a signed agreement as long as they can produce email exchanges or text messages showing proof of what she had agreed to then they can start from there. Not sure if there is a minimum amount restricting reporting scams like this and getting any action from the us government, but its worth a try. She shouldn't be able to get away with stuff like this is a country that has laws. If anything at all, I'm almost certain that someone as dishonest as this probably is not reporting full income from this shady business and is not paying taxes and that definitely is something the IRS will be interested in. Here's a link I found on USA.gov about reporting rental scams: https://www.usa.gov/travel-complaint https://www.usa.gov/stop-scams-frauds Good Luck to all, and seriously if the OP hadn't complained all these other people won't have come out? Really This forum promotes honesty, lets all ensure we report such issues so others don't fall victim. 7 Likes |

Also, we need to be careful about people sending pms. Recently l got some pms from people asking me questions. The first thing l did was to search for their names on this forum but alas couldn't find them. I was bothered and had to ignore some. Though we may have silent readers but l don't see any wrong if we surface once in a while. I have never heard/seen rayray message here in my 3years 'waka' here. Let's note that he or she can also change I'd. Lastly, please let's not harbour things like this, experience is the best teacher. To those affected, I pray for quick recovery from the trauma. quote author=baddo post=62881334]Abujaniv seems to be interested in this Rayray story.
