2) no u are not cooking it
3) millet na those tiny grains shapes like rice yet tinier than rice brownish in colour I guess, use for making kunu
3)it depend on how u want to cook it but which ever method u prefer make sure it's well cooked and yes u will cook on fire.
For me I dissolve the quantity I want in water and cook from the start, stir gradually to avoid lumps till its cooked.

Add soap to make a paste then wipe down anything wipeable it removes the toughest stains including rust

That's my number one cleaning agent! Plus its safe.


Additionally you can pour in a container and place in a corner of your bathroom/toilet to absorb odours! Replace after a week or two.


Stale smelling fridge or freezer? From spoilt meat or food? Place baking soda inside it will absorb the smell and leave your refrigerator smelling nice.

Works for rugs and mattress soaked with water or urine.

Honestly I don't know how mamas get their lo to take ors each time my son has running stomach I make do with any fluid he can take.

He has never drank ors! He drinks water and tea very well so I just dump ors somewhere.

I also gave/ give my babies biscuits like coaster and plain crackers.

I want to share something I tried out recently.


My son had running stomach plus vomit like 3 weeks back! It was horrible.

Landed in hospital and they ran test and gave us antibiotic, ors and zinc.


He took the antibiotic and the zinc tab( cos I mixed it inside his golden morn) He "drinks" his golden morn always refuses to eat it with spoon .


But the ors? He will just out mount and spit it out .

He drinks water and tea wella.


Soon after he got well.


Middle of this week again the purge returned! I was confused and contemplated getting him antibiotic but then it wasn't even up to a month we took it? So I didn't and tried managing it with bland food etal.

Before noon my son went 5 times and also threw up.

I remembered during anc as we had a q and a session.

Someone asked about giving children coke and other soft drink.

The lady answered that its not good to give babies carbonated drinks cos the sugar content is very high plus the damage it does to their enamel.

She added that surprisingly there was a doctor in Israel who stocked his hospital frigde with cocacola! That when people come with running stomach issue he usually offers them coke we all laughed sha.


One time when my Aunty had running stomach in the village somebody told her to chew kolanut that it will stop the purge. It did actually.



With this flashback i decided to google and I discovered that flat coke/Pepsi can calm and stop diarrhea! Na so I take Pepsi shake am well and released the gas! Then gave my two year old to drink he didn't purge nor poop for the rest of that day! Infact he didn't go till the next day evening and it was firm.


Was it the cola or mere coincidence? I can't say till i try it again.

Has anybody heard or tried this before?

I mix it with coconut oil and brush with the paste once in a long while
The outcome is sparkling clear teeth, free of tartar
Note: don't use often cos it causes teeth sensitivity

Very easy stufF
Chop your gizzard into small pieces (you can make it larger if you want)
Season it with your ingredients (I always add powdered garlic and ginger and curry too)
Put water, put it on. Fire, let it cook
When it's done bring it down

Slice your ripe plantain into pieces too
Put salt
And fry
When it's done, you bring it down

Chop fresh tomatoes and some onions (I also add spring onions because of the flavor) (you can use tomato paste)
Get a pot, put small oil, fry your tomatoes and onions and peppers
Add your seasoning and spices
When it's done lower the heat, put the gizzard and plantain, stir very well. Leave to simmer for few minutes on low heat
Add fresh onions if you like.
