So yesterday I started this watermelon farm just for experiment purpose, it's on a plot of land opposite my house, total money spent so far, weeding was 2k, tilling of the ground 4k, 100g watermelon seeds 3500. I will keep updating you guys on the progress and how much spent from sowing till harvest, and also I'll be spraying the farm with herbicides soon will update you with pics soon

I tried watering manually this morning it wasn't easy at all, so I'm planning on getting hose on Monday God willing.

Not before they germination, as long as theyve not germinated you're good, and even if they've germinated and you want to apply herbicides to kill the growing weeds you can cover the watermelon with polythene (nylon ) before you spray so as not to let the herbicides touch the watermelon leaves

I once tried watermelon and it started fruiting during the 24h rainy period. Diseases wiped it off. I didn't know much about fungicides then. Op try to use fungicides oo. Powdery mildew is a dry season disease.

Will do sir, i intend to start spraying them with fungicides and pesticides by this weekend, hopefully they all would have sprouted by then, and the spraying will be for every week
