legitnow: Your father was a soldier from Oshogbo who connered your mother in a cassava field. Your mother simply gave it to him without being forced for a loaf of Agege bread and a tin of Geisha. 3 Likes |

Osaze007: on the contrary the Igbo language is absorbing the yoruba language. check yoruba musicians and actors comedians. they cant do without dropping the Igbo language.. even the yoruva haters here on nairaland ve be Igbonised they drop Igbo words too u should rather cry for the yoruba. Igbo language is rubbing shoulders with ewedu language in thr turf.... confirming that lagos is no mans land 5 Likes 1 Share |

Re: How lagos igbos are trading their heritage for Yoruba in lagos by knowledgeable: 2:54pm On Dec 04, 2017 |
Osaze007: Untrue: Let's give you a little bit truth, you ugly Yoruba man. 1. The SE/SS economic integration is heading in the right direction as exemplify by the building of deep sea port in Calabar and airport city in Anambra state by the Chinese investors. So Lagos socio-economic dynamism as we know it today is.....going......going.... 2. There are strong evidences that Igbos have finally started to invest back home, with all their natural God giving attributes heading back to the East with them e.g. entertainment, sports and etc. 3. Igbos might be having challenges with their language just like the Yorubas, but the promotion of the language is in full force across the world. Handsome Igbo musicians are lending this pack on global stage(all singing in Igbo)and some top Yoruba musicians like Tiwa, wizkid, Davido and Olu Maintain are all including some Igbo wards in their music now. 4. On the marrying off, of Igbo women to Yorubas. Any Yoruba human being who believes that logic already has problem of cognition period. Igbos both men and women believe Igbo women beauty and it's strong attraction particularly to the Yoruba men is the borne of contention here. The conclusion...is either the Yoruba women are ugly or not as beautiful and as a wife material to eyes of most Yoruba men or the overall value of the Igbo womanhood(beauty/physical attraction etc) is way way higher than the overall value of the Yoruba womanhood at least in the eyes of Yoruba men. How else can a reasoning mind explain this?. So young man, recalibrate that your 10 years from now into reality because Igbo have risen. 1 Like 1 Share |
