It's possible his spending most times outside the box is from Jose cos it wasn't this way at the beginning of the season likewise not in his NT. Or is he intimidated with Ibra coming back and trying to play like him That is trying to bring his team into play instead of just running inside

Some of us ain't getting it. JM is helping Lukaku to improving on his Skills and Techniques. Lukaku is known as a Jam-body type of Strikers with absolute poor Ball Control, rather a Beast in the Box.

But so far..... he has tremendously improved in Ball Controls, dribbling and buildup plays! He's gonna get back in the Box, but it seems JM is only helping to develop his all-round Skills as a modern Striker, molding him to become a world-class Striker.

With Time...... we gonna begin to appreciate him again!

The goals will come if he spends more time there and he has the team to bring the ball to him. Even against small teams we were still struggling to string passes and get the ball to him. Because he hardly gets the ball, everybody wants him to score that one clear cut chance that falls to him but it doesn't work that way. Strikers need chances to score goals. Even the goal that he scored against Newcastle he did the work by himself.

I think the other argument was about him not linking play well but compared to other strikers this will be difficult to prove.

Tell me which small team we didn't struggle against especially during that Mkhi sad era. Was it not Huddersfield he had to go to the wings to cross the ball for Rashford for our only goal? Which other small team did we play that Lukaku had someone carrying the ball to him through middle and not all those crosses that defence do find it easy to deal with. Chelsea City Arsenal Liverpool have players carrying balls through the middle creating space but we has to turn to the wings every time when we don't even have a RW. Crosses no dey pass the first or second person but we want Lukaku to score 100 goals with those one one big chance and 100 snap shots

We are not even too worry about Lukaku's goals return. I said it a million times already. But his ability to affect play whenever he plays or whatever pattern. You play outside the box, you are given a chance to go on one vs one with the goalkeeper, you take a heavy touch that gives the ball to the goalkeeper. The defenders collects the long balls with ease and build an from their zone unhindered. May be he is over used and tired.

I remember when Rooney played false 9 against City in 2012 in an FA cup match. I think we won 3-2 (not too sure of the score). He made Kompany and his partner to suffer by dragging them out of position and holding the long balls to bring Nani and co into play. Then Rooney ran into the box again to nod in from crosses.

Against Watford, who sent Lukaku to play outside the box? Did we also park the bus? Did we not score 4 goals? Abi na for half line we score 4 goals ni?

Really don't know what Dudes are expecting from Lukaku. We all know the kind of Strikers he is, even before his first Game in the United Shirt!

He was celebrated at the beginning of the Season when he was banging Goals. No one gave a damn about his off Ball Movements, Ball Control and so on.

But because he couldn't bang Goals in few Matches, where JM chose to attack and defend with 11 Players, Dudes are beginning to write Theses on him for PhD and submitting it here to claim what they are not.

Lukaku is improving as a Player, he's 24, he still gets Room for improvement coz he hasn't peaked yet. Besides, this is his first Season at United, and he's not disappointing so far.

Do you remember our match against West Ham in FA cup 2013? They were leading us 1-0 and time was far spent, then Ferguson brought RVP. West Ham still looked like scoring 2-0 in the dying minutes.

Then Ryan Giggs threw a long pass to Van Persie who ran to equalize late at West Ham and saved us from elimination. Typical striker goal. See the video below:

Lukaku has had easier chances, but still couldn't go on to take a shot at all. Sometimes strikers just give you the day from half chance even when you park the bus. I gave you guys the case of Rooney vs City in 2012 when he was isolated up front and playing at half line.
