Rashford had more than twice the number of touches Lukaku had but created lesser number of chances and scored same amount of goals. You should be entertained brother because I'm not at all.

A player who plays more centrally and closest to goal should create more chances. an exception could be one who takes set plays. The was why Van Persie was among the top three in 2012/2013.

A striker who sits in the box is most likely going to nod down for a team mate, pounce on a rebound and pass through to a team mate to tap in, etc. A winger who usually run from the deep would minus men on his way and pass to another who passes to the striker.

Just go around, look at all the top teams in Europe, how many chances their strikers have missed, and don't forget they have a better attacking play.

When you talk about big chances missed, also add goals scored.

Some miss big chances but compensate with double solo goals. Hope you are not going to bring big chances missed by Ronaldo and Messi to try to prove Lukaku has same scoring ability. These guys can miss one or two big chances in a match, but when match tie wrapper (deadlock) you would see these guys carry the ball pass men to score.

Lukaku mostly rely on clear chance to score. So he misses them, he goals stats become rubbish.
