ceceliaa34: Add any Visa rejection letter, you will also fill it in the questionnaire. It's not too late at all to apply, from the timeline I have seen here so far. You should pay the full tuition fee or 7k minimum I think Cheers 1 Like |

For those who care for format on how to write statement of purpose...here is a comprehensive format..please don't copy someone else...Ireland Embassy officials are crazy Prepare the statement of Purpose Paragraph one: Clearly describe educational history, grades, subjects, specializations, areas where you excelled. Paragraph two: Clearly explain why you wish to pursue this course Paragraph three: Clearly explain how the chosen course relates to past education. A change of stream of study should be clearly explained as this is a popular reason for visa refusal. If qualifications you have completed in your home country are similar to the course being applied for you must clearly explain the reason for the repetition. For example, you can refer to the international recognition of the qualification, lack of practical or experiential learning or different subject specializations as the reason for the repetition. Paragraph four: Clearly explain why you have chosen Griffith College. Paragraph five: Clearly explain why you have chosen Ireland, and specifically Dublin, Cork or Limerick as a study destination. Paragraph six: Clearly explain the need to do the study course in Ireland. This is another frequent reason for visa refusal so this needs to be clearly defined and elaborated on. Reasons like the vibrant IT sector and multinational base, experiential learning should perhaps be mentioned and intelligent reference should be made to specific course content and how it is superior to a similar course in your home country. Paragraph seven: All gaps in education MUST be clearly explained, if time has been taken out for work or because of illness or bereavement the work reference letter, doctor’s certificate or death certificate should be included. Paragraph eight: This is by far the most important paragraph, where you must clearly explain their future aspirations and that you will be returning home after your studies. Reasons like family business, marriage commitments, the oldest child or only son or the booming economy in the home country or an offer from a future employer should be detailed in this section. If a job offer is given as a reason for returning home, you should then include the job offer letter with full contact details of the manager. The contact details must be a land line, not a mobile and the company should have a website that visa officers can access. 21 Likes 11 Shares |

Cynate: Hi there, congrats of your visa and all, I wanted to know, did you and your husband apply for visa separately, the problem I am having is I do not know if I or my wife can apply for masters and have the other come as a dependant. And if not, does it now mean that she has to apply for a masters program as I am also applying and hope we both get granted visas @ICaSNg: Quick question: As a medical doctor, is it necessary she does a masters program in ireland? Are there other better immigration partways for medical practicioners and/or engineers? |

phemmy28: Cynate is not been totally open about his/her visa category. However, If you're married and applying or intending to go for a masters program in Ireland you can't go with an accompanying spouse. Your spouse may either apply for a masters program too or wait till you get your 2 years work permit and earn enough to invite your spouse. For Medical doctors, the UK is recruiting for Doctors and Nurses-once they can pass @7 in each band of their Academic IELTS and for doctors Plab exams, Nurses only need to pass the ielts to receive a NMC Pin to come to the UK. Cheers |

Cynate: Apologies, What I meant is you didn't specify the reason why you don't need a visa to reside in Ireland. Its fine and I think it makes things clearer for other people on the platform before they start reaching for the moon and shooting for stars without having comprehensive information. Cheers and thanks for shedding more light. |

Please for those that have collected there Passport, when you submitted did VFS send you any email that your application has been dispatch? I didn't get any email or text msg. Also it's been two weeks since my submission and I am still getting the update below on my profile. Is that the only update you get till you receive your passport? My previous applications via VFS, Canadian and SA I had four diff updates throughout the application period, from the application to collection 1. application received by VFS 2. application forwarded to the embassy 3. application receipt and processing 4. passport return I was thinking I should be seeing the third update not the second. Thanks
