COPA Lagos: Ex-Super Falcons Keeper Chiejine, Others For Celebrity Match

Former Super Falcons goalkeeper Ann Chiejine will head a list of female celebrities at the 2017 COPA Lagos.

This was annouced on Monday by the organisers of the COPA Lagos through a release.

This is the first time a female celebrity game will be played in the COPA Lagos.

Also on the list of female celebrities expected to take part are TV presenter Bolanle Olukanni, fashion model Beverly Osu, comedienne Wofai Fada, On-Air-Personalities Kaylah Oniwo, Destiny Amaka and Sharon Oja.

Other events lined up to add colour to the event include fashion show, music event, elaborate closing ceremony and after-party.

Eight teams will take part in this year’s COPA Lagos. The teams are Super Sand Eagles, Gidi Sharks, Arsenal Beach Soccer Club, Morocco, Pepsi Football Academy, Lebanon, Spain and Kebbi Beach Soccer Club.

This year’s edition will commence on Friday and end on Sunday, 10 December at the Eko Atlantic, Lagos.

Nigeria, Spain, Morocco and Lebanon will take part in the national team challenge, while Arsenal, Pepsi Football Academy, Kebbi Beach Soccer Club and a new Lagos team, Gidi Sharks, will take part in the club chllenge.

Barcelona have participated in previous editions of Copa Lagos, but they are not going to be at this year's edition. They are replaced by Arsenal.
