I believe Moses should feature as wing back in a 3-5-2 formation and Ebuehi should play second fiddle to him as a right wing back.

If Rohr decides to stick to 3-5-2 for the WC. And you chos Moses as first choice WB and Ebuehi as second choice. It simply means Shehu and Aina are surplus requirements to that RB position?

Munir El Haddadi who has already played a competitive game for Spain in 2016 is asking for a Special concession by FIFA so that he can represent Morocco at the WC

Too late for him. He made the wrong choice.

So because Morocco is now a sellable brand he wants to jump ship

A lesson to Tammy Abraham and his likes.

]But is it too late to learn how to trap ball? [/b]He wasn't the only one phased out of man city, (Yaya toure, etc), yet those ones haven't lost what they are made of.

Pep did same with Eto, toure, ibrahimovich etc at Barcelona but these players didn't diminish, I think he did same with some young players too who ended up becoming stars

Tiago's career was almost ruined by one of Barca's coaches when he was there due to lack of play time even when he was supposed to be playing until he moved to Bayern, he's now a star there.

Nobody can stop anyone's shine without the permission of the person. If you're good you are good. No room for blaming, he should step up and train himself like other bests do.

Oh by the way at bolded, that is what lack of confidence does to you. Have ever studied for an exam u previously failed, and you perfectly understood the topics while studying only to get into the exam and start fidgeting, anxious about what if you are wrong? What if you dont pass? Thats what happened to Iheanacho. Its not like he needs to learn how to trap balls. No. He only needs to calm down and tell himself he can do it. He doesnt need to learn how to dribble. I have seen him do that pre Guadiola. He just needs to believe it will work whenever he tries. But as we all know, when expectations of 25million pounds magnitude is placed on a player, there is no room for poor dribbles. Which i think is what is taking its toll on him. If there werent that pressure of estimated time of delivery, if allowed to be in his natural elements, he will perform. I rest my case

But l am confused, you said just 3goals in 25games, while Cityjoe is saying he scored five goals in 3 games at a certain period.

He scored 3 league goals. City Joe added a hattrick he scored against a certain dwarf team in the Carlin cup.

It is you who ego of getting something wrong pains that you resorted to attacks.

At the moment, Sterling is our highest goal scorer. Sane has won the EPL player of the month. Aguero is Aguero, one of the best ever. Mbappe will not find it easy.

So please, I beg you, bring out the post, so I can read and assess.

House will not come to your rescue. I watched the highlight game of the Manchester City vs Monaco game. Watched the extended highlights repeatedly and was not blown away by Mbappe.

Then I started hearing people comparing him to Messi. I went to check and felt shocked.

Please, how can you say that guy will even start at City. You can be funny.

I did not bring in Iheanacho. You must not comment if you are not following the discussion. The thread tended towards Mbappe being better than Iheanacho because Iheanacho was not a regular at City and I replied If Mbappe came to City, he will bench. My point has not changed. You just did not understand what you were arguing.

Please, Mbappe was a young forward growing. At that time, Mbappe was never going to walk into Manchester City's starting line-up. Today, Sane is one of the top players at Manchester City. Even won the EPL player of the month. When he came to Manchester City the first time, he was benching. It took him time to grow into the team.

Mbappe can start now because he has built his rep at Monaco. Before then, he would not walk into Manchester City's line-up. So, what is your problem with that?

I don't see the coach sticking to a single formation through out the tourney, the opponents to face at a given time will determine the formation to be adopted. So Shehu gets to play when the coach uses a four man defence.

Gabriel Jesus is still not starting regularly at Manchester City despite his rep and being the number nine of the Brazilian national team. It is funny that you believe before Mbappe blew and became a regular for the French team that you believe he would have commanded a regular shirt at Manchester City.

this is one of the most baffling things on this thread. They say that if VicMo is played as a wingback it reduces his influence on the team and I am wondering, if it reduces his own particular influence but increases the efficiency of the team as a whole then who cares? Granted we may not have a devastating winger aside VicMo but a player who has scored over 30goals in a calendar year(Onyekuru) isn't really Jozy Altidore, besides if we use a wingback system with VicMo it means we'd only need two attackers afterall, I would change Iheanacho with a more potent striker and push Mikel to Ogu's position and replace him there with Iwobi and free up Onyekuru in Iwobi's former position and that's that. I believe VicMo can offer a lot more than any other fullback of ours can offer playing as the left wingback and since we have capable replacements, it's a possibility we should explore.

Barrister wetin you think? Cc Mujtahida
I agree with the bolded, but as a right wing back.

In the City game against Monaco, Mbappe was not explosive. I clearly stated that was where I drew my opinion from. I keep learning. I watch, study, make my inference. Watch again, keep understanding and aligning my position.

In the game against Monaco, it was Bernado Silva who was magical. In the two games, he tore us to shreds. Not Mbappe. Today Bernado Silva is in City and guess what, he is on the bench. Not a regular in any way.

@ bolded. I think Iwobi has not looked back since that second match against Zambia.
Before then, it's not like he was all that for Nigeria. He's had quite a number of good games for Arsenal.

blueto:
Iwobi have been playing better for Nigeria than for Arsenal, and sometimes he plays for Nigeria it seems that he is underutilized at Arsenal. The freedom he enjoys from playing SE games and also the love and support from Nigeria fans have made it more comfortable for him to deliver his best. Unlike in Arsenal where he is too careful not to make a mistake on the field of play, and thereby not doing so great. Freedom is what actually “frees” people to live to their best.

As it stands now, Iwobi should be starting games for the SE.

The argument was that Kelechi was better than Mbappe. You used Kelechi's inability to get into the the City team as a defence and diversion while saying Mbappe can't get a game at Man City either.
If this isn't a jaundiced fan opinion, I wonder what it is.

You have made very colourful and often delirious comments to defend Kelechi, much so that you will be shocked to read some of your previous comments.

Oh Come on. I made a clear point from my assessment of watching his game against City and I was not blown away. Some even compared Mbappe to a young Ronaldo. From what I saw, I disagreed.

I also stated I will continue studying him. With time, I got to understand what makes Mbappe special. Clearly stated it on this thread.

I can clearly state my stance was wrong.

Today, I can say I was judging Mbappe based on his finishing, which till now, is not mind blowing. Iheanacho back then, today is mind blowing when it comes to finishing. However, more is needed to meet up with the demands of the game today which Mbappe trumps. So, what is your problem?

All this one your doing is what I call noise. That was an earlier assessment from a game. By the way, the attributes I used to score Mbappe, he does not blow me away with that.

However, if you want me now to break Mbappe down and explain why he is good and can go a long way, I can do that. That comes with studying, understanding and learning.

You are right but that is why the next sentence says “sometimes” in the post.

Has he been able to replicate the form against Zambia and Argentina in Arsenal? Wenger demands goals from him when he scores for Nigeria, I think that is not the best. He may not be the guy that performs best with too much pressure on him.

Anybody familiar with Victor Moses knows he is very selfish and by this I mean holding the ball for too long and wanting to dribble everybody ,score himself and become the hero.
This has to do more with perception formed on the basis of his past. Presently he is not selfish as such

I cant direct you to a particular game but he do this all the time. Against Algeria in Uyo and Cameroon in Nigeria it was obvious
.
How did he score the first goal against Algeria? He dribbled his way into the box, passed the ball to Iheanacho but it struck a defender and came back to him. There wasn't any clear situation where one could have said 'ohhhhhh if only Vicmo had passed the ball we would have scored. Against Cameroon in Nigeria he powered two of our goals. Mikel freed him from deep in our half, he ran with the ball. Mind you there was nobody to pass the ball to because we were on a counter except Simon Moses. He passed to Simon at the right time. Simon squared for him and he scored.
He over carries the ball and dont know when to release the ball.
In a counter, an attacker needs to run with the ball because most times its just him and another attacker who push the counter. I bet Vicmo did better than both Iwobi Iheanacho on the counter. Once Iwobi would have freed Iheanacho but he failed. Twice Iheanacho would have freed Iwobi but he failed. How come Vicmo released the ball for Iheanacho against Algeria, how come he released the ball to Simon against Cameroon?
In Uyo against Cameroon he denied Ighalo a golden chance because of his complacency. VicMo is a selfish player in the colors of Nigeria just like Okocha was but this doesnt mean they cant play good football.
There wasn't any such golden chance Vicmo denied Ighalo against Cameroon. Have you forgotten how he passed the ball to Ighalo twice against Zambia? I do not agree that he's been selfish so far at least not the way you guys make it look. As in to me it's exaggerated. And I trust you realise that of all our attackers Vicmo is the most defensively disciplined.

Scored in both legs, does not mean he was explosive. Keep in mind, there were attributes I was looking for to see if Mbappe was special. In that game, he failed to tick them. Today, the attributes I look for are far different because of growing in understanding.

That was why I wanted to read my stance then. It does not change.

So, attacking because someone proved his point, means you want to hold a rigid stance to an opinion even if you did not understand it.

Not me. I am eager to keep learning. I like to learn and get a deeper understanding of the game. I watch Gabriel Jesus and point to people where Iheanacho needs to adapt his game to meet the requirements Guardiola wanted from him.
