PrecisionFx: This guy wan use laugh kill me........ Chai! I have read it 3 times and yes I commented before I read. But you see I just posted what the bible already says..... 1 Corinthians 14: 2. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 3. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. 4. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. If I speak in tongues to you, except you understand what I am saying, it useless and hopeless just as you said. But that is to you and not God, that is what 1 Corinthians 14:2 says. Think of the scripture 1 Corinthians 14 as a comparison between speaking in tongues vs prophesying in tongues. All through out the bible from the old testament to the new testament, everything the Spirit came upon them, they prophesied. The difference between the old and the new is that the new did it in other tongues. So Paul simply said here, if you must prophesy in tongues let maximum of 3 prophets stand and listen to your prophesy and interpret it - mind you, interpretation of tongues is also a gift as seen in 1 Corinthians 12:10. Prophesy one at a time and let just one person speak the interpretation. But if no interpretation/interpreter is available, dont talk to the church, stay where you are and continue to talk to God since only he understands you. He also said somewhere in 1 Corinthians 14 that, dont just seek to prophesy when you pray in tongues but pray for interpretation, meaning I can speak in tongues and offer the interpretation myself........ But what he spoke against, was that on no account must you prophesy in tongues to the congregation because tongues is a sign for those who dont believe but prophesy/interpretation is a sign for those who (want to) believe. 1 Corinthians 14: 22. Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. 23. If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? 24. But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: |

blaze1916: That's not totally true Sir, if u read further the bible records that they accused the disciples of being drunk, if they clearly understood the new tongues the disciples spoke in they wouldn't tag them as drunk. Peter in acts 2verse 14 had to start explaining this was the act of the holy spirit and that they weren't drunk...there wouldn't have been any need for peter's explanation if the people who heard them speak in new tongues could comprehend Icorinth 14 v 2 clearly explains this, speaking in tongues is speaking to God and not men. Therefore it is possible for pple not to understand if they had no gift of interpretation. Paul only clear the air, because when the gift came on the disciple some pastors and teacher amongst them just came to church and spoke in tongues for several hours in display and joy of their new found spiritual gift, so he said unless there is an interpreter there's no need to speak in tongues for the purpose of edifying the church(edifying is like preaching or declaring good tidings on the congregation for hours, so imagine the pastor enter church preaching or declaring in tongues for 2hrs and say sermon closed) better still as a pastor, Prophesy instead that way the whole church will hear you and be edified or built up. |

lovely17: Little knowledge YOU have of the bible....please Sir, Kindly go back an read where freeze quoted, how he quoted out of context... not even explaining what speaking in tongue means to the speaker and the church....and why Paul suggested that an interpreter is needed when speaking in tongue is to be used for the entire church edification |

It is obvious some people just read the bible for quoting sake without necessarily understanding the interpretation of the text through the help of the Holy Spirit |

justiniyke29:My dear, don't believe this unlearned man. Study for yourself. He jumped verse 2 and went down where he got himself confused, speaking in tongues and praying in tongues is a different thing, what we see in churches is praying in tongues and not speaking in tongues. Verse 2 says "For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries." verse 15 "What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also." speaking in tongues need an interpreter, but praying in the spirit which is praying in tongues does not...but verse 2 says u are speaking mysteries no man understand u but God..... and verse 15 says, do not do one but, do both... ' I will pray in the spirit and I will pray in my understanding also"...take not this was Paul talking. he said 'I will", meaning you can choose to pray in tongues anytime, u mustn't pray to an extent first. call me on 08077609539, let me tell u more or send my num to Daddy Freeze let me teach him God's word. |

This man is always enlightening the already brainwashed congregation. That's why these money pastors are always threatening him to force him to stop exposing them but the more they threaten him or rain curses, the more the public believe him. The gift of speaking in tongues is not meant for everyone but in Pentecostal churches almost 95% of the congregation speak in tongues. In one of the Pentecostal church I attended, the pastor asked all of us to begin to speak in tongues. But I was like "What the heck is happening here..." |

PrecisionFx: Actually 99.9% read the bible. What the 99.9% dont really do consistently is study....... Freeze is a very good example of a bible reader, everything he says is muddled up without any sense of clear direction. You say a believer "is a temple of the Holy Spirit" which the bible actually teaches , so we don't need Pastors building big edifices, using people's money. So you can stay in your house and worship your God you don't need to attend service in a church, but the same bible says "we should not forsake the assembly of ourselves as is the manner of some person". Even commonsense tells me that a Pastor that builds a 50,000 seater capacity hall with AC isnt going to live there, he is doing it for people who will seat in so they can be comfortable and undistracted during services. If a pastor builds a 50 bedroom mansion and converts the Parlour into a church hall, I can understand if you label him a thief. Not a man who fitscomfy seats, with AC into a church. Is that not a confused bible reader. He said dont pay tithe, give your tithe to the poor, widows and beggar, tithe is old testament, afterall Abraham paid tithe once. He said the new testament preaches only offerings and giving to the poor. Tithe is old testament and is from the law. The Christian is not under law but grace. But a good man who studies the bible already know that even giving to poor, in the new testament is a practice culled from the same law in the old testament. The first time giving to the poor in scripture is mentioned, it was in the law. Nowhere did Abraham feed the poor, no jacob feed widows, even Joseph the Man of God in egypt was never credited to feeding the hungry during famine. He made slaves of them, the price being food. That was how Egypt grew to be great. Abraham tithed before the law unto God through Melchizedek, the children of israel under the law tithed thrice to the priest. Abraham - who was not under the law - tithed to honour God after the battle of the 5 kings, your pastor say honour the Lord with tithe, you say Daddy Freeze say no, like say Freeze na your bible..... New testament Christian never gave tithe, that is true. They gave a 100% of all they had and not tithe (10%). Why did Annaias and Sapphira die before their time? Because they sold what they had, kept part of it and told the apostles that it was all they had. No Pastor as at yet has been recorded to have asked people to sell everything they have and bring the money to cburch, they only ask that you honour the Lord with your tithe and then you go and mention new testament christians, that sold everything they had and laid at the Apostles feet, isnt that a sign of a man that reads the bible but fails to study it....... A man says, according to the scriptures to honour the Lord with your tithe, you say the Lord is your creator, God is your father, but you preach against the tithe or giving to God in church, against those who honour men of God, against children, men and women going to church, against giving offerings, you tell them its okay to sleep with people who you arent married to, you tell them they are free to drink beer and alcohol in church, you tell them to start stoning pastors and to stop listening to them. And some people who read bible, dont study and lack understanding actually clap for him and declare that he is "on point", he "knows the truth", simply because he throws some scriptures at them. And you say God is your father, it is either you are confused or you have forgotten the face of your Father. 2 Corinthians 5: 11. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men............. |

With all thy gettings, get Understanding Prov 4vs 7b.......... In a simple term 1cor 14 vs 23~ 28: When you come together to worship & you have unbelievers, unlearned or Natural men among you. DONT communicate to the congregation in tongues without interpretation so THEY (unbelievers, unlearned) wont be lost & confused. Infact you will strengthen their faith by hearing the secrets in their heart as revealed by God through tongues. But then YOU can speak in tongues to YOurself (edification) and speak in tongues to God(Praying) at anytime of worship. The Natural man (Freeze & His Folks, 2017) can not understand the things of the spirit, they are foolishness unto them. It can only be spiritually decoded. #When spiritual understanding is lacking, display of foolishness is Inevitable. 1 Like |

ehissi: Christians do not touch the Bible, talk more of reading it.. Freeze is right about tithing and YES, Tithe is for feeding the poor, it's clearly written in plain English. Widows, orphans, fatherless, Levites(Theres no levites today) Motherless, Foreigners who have no land, etc. Oga no even go there. Thieving men of God ask their members to sell everything they have and give it to God, it's natural to pastors to say that in Nigeria where sheep's de move upandan. ""pastor say honour the Lord with tithe, you say Daddy Freeze say no"" Oga, a pastor does not have any form of right to ask anyone to bring any form of tithe, Anyone who does so is a foolish sheep. And besides tithe is not money, Tithe is agricultural produce. ""Even commonsense tells me that a Pastor that builds a 50,000 seater capacity hall with AC isnt going to live there, he is doing it for people who will seat in so they can be comfortable and undistracted during services"" Nigeria pastors build those 50,000 seater halls to bring in people en mass to trick them. It's business as usual nothing more. As for Going to church, That ur quotation is used for scare tactics for the gullibles. It was the Romans that chose to say all those trash n they also added paganism into Christianity. |

This one is funny....the little 16 year old me heard my roommate's speaking in tougues in my first year at the university several times..it was cool and for a while I could say exactly what she was always saying in our room which was on the third floor. About 2 years after, I was in a room close to an open field, I heard someone speaking in tongues and I told my new roommates that it was my old roommate from way back, they were shocked (we later confirmed). Can tongues be the same in a 3 year period? I am still confused |

Speaking in tongue on the day if Pentecost the bible clearly gave a narrative of what happened. There were Jews from various parts of the word with different languages travelled from different countries for and God poured out his Spirit and enabled the disciples to speak in various language tongues e.g. European languages, african languages and various ethnic dialects . All people of various nations that are visitors to Jerusalem heard them praising God and Speaking of Good news of the Gospel in THEIR OWN NATIVE LANGUAGES AND THEY WERE ALL AMAZED! AREN'T THIS MEN JEWS HOW COME THEY CAN SPEAK OUR VARIOUS NATIVE LANGUAGES AND DIALECTS |
