I do check it on regular basis i just hope 'admission in progress' won't bleach my CAPS page.

Letter of reference shouldn't be a problem.

What of the letter being on a "letter headed" paper? Surely not everyone has a letter head...

Letter of reference shouldn't be a problem. Even ur dad's driver can help u write it provided that he is well educated.
Note: it's better if the letter is written by someone who knows you well and who can write exceptionally well than someone who is very influential but doesn't know u too well.

All I can say is that a number of candidates that applied for a change of course have been admitted via jamb caps.
