Fanyeofori:1. Yes i think this would be two or more certificate 2.on a non-accompanying spouse , cheaper is not the word Imo. You will get more points. If that's the reason for this option i suggest you have a rethink. If its as to cost most certainly not. Your spouse will do medicals and PCC. The process of getting your spouse later to Canada takes time although has reduced significantly . for the consent form for parent click on the link below IMM5404E or IMM5404F that's the name of the from file:///D:/Pictures/WhatsApp/DOC-20171124-WA0001.pdf |

My good people. pls help me o. While filling the post-ITA application, I am required to supply address of places I have lived in the past 10 years. Does this include short stays in hotels or Hollidays trips for one or two months of which I can't even remember all. Thanks for your anticipated reply. |

Hello kind Nairalanders, I have been following this thread for the past few days now and I must say, it is so full of great information. Thank you to all the kind people here. I just started considering this whole Canada thing myself and I think I need help with the work experience part. So, I plan to use my NYSC experience for the work experience part (I read earlier that one can use that). But the thing is that I studied Geology but for NYSC, I was teaching Geography and Maths in a secondary school in a village. If I choose an NOC equating to a secondary school teacher position, will the fact that I studied Geology be a problem? In addition, I was being paid 3000 per month by the school but in cash (the village school had no time for bank), will this be a problem since I do not have payslips to back it up. I have my NYSC posting letter and acceptance letter though. Also, if I can get a reference letter from the employer, is there a template from the Canadian authorities or similar that the letter has to follow? Thank you in anticipation. |

bularuz: Not significantly. Scores are better as a single applicant, except you have 2 degrees, a professional qualification or a Canadian PR/citizen relative |

I believe in January. Fresh fiscal year, it can come to 3,000 sth ITAs. If January holds three draws, that will be another condition that could help to drive it down. Again, Nigerian schools remain on strike.. Hahaha. The last one is not funny... Dodging bullets! mcstan18: |

taif: The wisest way to do this would be to get a lawyer involved and go to family court to formally adopt the child. It should be a smooth process since the mother consents to this . Speak to @perks for guidance. I don't advice you to just change the surname .people change their minds all the time. Have a formal document 2 Likes |

Hello my people. thanks for your good works here. pls I have a question. At any point in the post-ITA application, Do they request for NYSC discharge certificate because I did not complete it before travelling out of the country for my Masters degree. Thank you guys |

mcstan18: Not exactly, when applying with your spouse, all the points you loose when compared with single applicants can be earned by your spouse's language and education. It actually evens out. Neither single nor married applicants are favoured by CRS calculations. So as a married applicant, you only loose points if your spouse does not take language tests or get an ECA or both. |

Guys please, I would like to have an advance information about this before cash is spent on it. Actually for a colleague. 1. Would WES evaluate a post graduate certificate (from uni of Liverpool online program) as equivalent to a Canadian standard. The first degree has previously been evaluated. (Would this also be regarded as two or more certs)? |

taif: As advised by @Optionese, adopt the child legally. Changing his name is not enough, same surname doesn't prove you are his legal guardian. Also for future sake, you don't want to be accussed of "kidnapping and smuggling" the child out of the country. |

dtaminator: If the spouse has a perfect scores and has a masters, the scores could actually increase. Apparently, the spouse can get a maximum of 10 for education and 20 for IELTS which could be more than the person lost for being married. |

mcstan18: How significant do you expect the drop to be? Low 430s, sub 430 or as low as it was May this year (circa 413). Those Indians don't seem to be on break at any point o, considering they are the ones with the highest percentage of PPR/COPR receipts. |

Hello All, Thank you for your assistance so far. Please assist with enquiry below. I paid for Express delivery of ECA to a particular address and I was charged extra 80usd. I read where some people cancelled the Express delivery and got refund. I wish to now use the normal delivery, hence cancel the express stuff since my process hasnt been concluded. I also would want to change the delivery address to another address. Kindly assist with a useful info on how I can go about it. Thank you. |
