all these people rooting for satans agent asking Gods people to withhold their tithe is merely to bring them to bondage

when they were not giving tithe they called them church rat

but they have known the truth ... the covenant practice of tithing

and God is blessing His people but

the devils trap is to bring Gods people to bondage again by stoping them from tithing with all the frez nonsense

Malachi 3:10-18King James Version (KJV)

10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.

13 Your words have been stout against me, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?

14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts?

15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.

16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.

17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

Read Malachi 1 to understand how the entire Book of Malachi was directed at Levites for stealing their own part of the tithes eaten by Jews as detailed in Deuteronomy 14.

Stop mis-quoting the scriptures; first do as Paul instructed, 'study to show thyself approved..', do not reproduced what someone else gave you, without first cross checking their scriptural soundness. The Bible is an open book, apply yourself to studying it, especially on a subject that you think you know enough.

First, Malachi was talking to the Priests who are responsible in bringing the tithe into the store store. Under the old covenant settings that Malachi was talking about, the children of Israel do not take their tithes to the store house. On the third year as God commanded, the Israelites bring their tithes to the Priests, who take it from them and take it to the store House.

Try to read the whole book of Malachi, to understand it's context and who the message was for, but to help you further that...

Malachi 2:1 "....And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you...” and the message from God to the Priests continues through chapter three that you have quoted above.

During this time in Israel; the Priests received the tithes from the Israelite but refused to bring their tenth into the store house, so they can be used to feed the poor, fatherless, etc and also for God's burnt offering, instead they covert all the tithes received...God had to send his Prophet Malachi with a message to the priest to rebuke them and tell them they have robbed him God and they have also robbed the whole nation. He therefore commanded them to start bringing the tithes into the store house.

Num 18:26
"Speak to the Levites and say to them: when you receive from the Israelites the tithes I give you as your inheritance, you must present a tenth of that tithe as the LORD's offering"

The new testament do not ask believers to tithe, only that they give freely, willingly and cheerfully. A believer who is not tithing will not incur God's wrath, neither will one who is tithing be blessed above the one not tithing.

Though, if you must tithe, which is law; it is imperative that you do it according to the law. God lay down laws on how they should be observed specifically and tithing was not left out...

1. The law commands that, you must take the tenth of your tithe and go spend it on whatever your heart desires and also on your family. (Deu.12:5-7; Deu.12:10-12; Deu.12:17-18; Deu.14:22-26). This is every month pay check.

2. Then Lord commanded that, every third month (ie every third month tithe), you should not spend this on yourself, this is the one you take to the his house of worship to the Levites or to the Priest (Deu.12:19; Deu.14:27-29; Deu.26:12-13).

So, even the old testament tithing was not commanded to be paid to the Priest every month or week, it is only the third week or third month or third year, depending on how you choose to pay it.

Now, some Christians may say....well they choose to pay it every month to the church...1. You should know that, by doing that, you are breaking the God's lay down rules on tithing....2. It is not Biblical or commanded of you to do that. 3. You are upsetting God’s balance by not spending that money on your family as he commanded. 4. Ironically, in your short sighted zeal to ‘’obey’’ the laws of tithing, you are at the same time disobeying them.

Though, since we are in the dispensation of Grace, you will not get the wrath of God for doing that. But don't go preach that is God's commandment and any Pastor who preaches that, does not have the backing of the scriptures.

So, Malachi is actually talking to Padtors and whoever collect tithes today....God is reminding them of their duties and responsibilities regarding the tithes they receives. Many Priests aka Pastors still rob God and the Nation today in tithes and offering by not following through with their commanded obligations.

To those who keep saying Abraham paid tithe....

Genesis 14:18-24New International Version (NIV)
18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, 19 and he blessed Abram, saying,

“Blessed be Abram by God Most High,
Creator of heaven and earth.
20 And praise be to God Most High,
who delivered your enemies into your hand.”

Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

21 The king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the people and keep the goods for yourself.”

22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “With raised hand I have sworn an oath to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, 23 that I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the strap of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, ‘I made Abram rich.’ 24 I will accept nothing but what my men have eaten and the share that belongs to the men who went with me—to Aner, Eshkol and Mamre. Let them have their share.”

1. Mechizedek was a King and also a priest.
2. He brought for bread and wine before blessing Abraham.
3. Abram gave 1/10
4. Abram did not take anything.... meaning he handed everything to the King of Sodom. Meaning he shared all he got from that war.

The point here is that before Abram gave Melchizedek, Melchizedek gave something which is bread and wine.
He wasn't just a priest but also a King. In other words, Abram didn't give that because Melchizedek was just a priest, but a King.

The only reason there is a debate on the tithing issue today is because many who pay (and those who advice people to pay) keep condemning and judging those who don't pay as inadequate unfaithful Christians. Now a group of people who dont pay have challenged the status quo by asking pro-tithers to justify their judgemental stance with scriptures. So far, no convincing response from scriptures has been given; only further 'judgement' and insults.

Indeed the letter killeth, but the spirit gives life...its worrisome that issues like tithing have become a debate among Christians...its no less a sign of the end time..however, what i will not subscribe to is the confusion being propagated about tithing..tithing is a convenant act of the kingdom minded...however, where a Christian lacks understanding, he will be swayed by every wave of doctrine...Christianity is not a mere religion but a lifestyle which is regulated by heavenly rules...even the government of the world imposes taxes on the people however this does not go to say that tithing is a tax imposed by God on his Children....The issue here is beyond teaching the flock about the blessings or consequences of tithing, it is necessary to educate the flock about the true essence of tithing, tithing is essentially sacrificial however God uses tithing to bless his people. This not go to say that when you tithe faithfully God overlooks your fault and suspends biblical principles about disobedience and its consequence....

For me, i am asking God for Grace to be a faithful tither, however, i wont blame non - tithing for problems or difficulties i might go through...For me, i will view non - tithing as disobedience to God with consequences not because i didnt tithe but because i didnt obey...The government will arrest you when you dont pay your tax not because the government hates you but its the law and you became liable because you are citizen under the authority of the government. Make no mistake about it, biblically atimes, tithe was a response to God's blessings, Jehovah through His Prophets urged the Israelites to give a percentage of their harvest for various reasons and at other times, tithe was given for a cause either Charity or towards festivals....There are men in the bible who gave tithes in order to request for God's blessings in their endeavours...

The bottomline is this, it is the intention of the heart that matters, you pay insurance to cover yourself from certain risks,it doesnt mean that what you fear will eventually happen, however, if it does happen, then you have a protection, tithing is not like insurance though, you cant buy God's blessings..If we see tithing as a special package where we receive blessings, testimonies and gifts from God, we will not argue..The fear of people is because of the lifestyle which the leaders of the Church portray which they believe is because of tithe...This is a really absurd belief borne out of unfaithfulness and lack of proper understanding...How God caters for His True servant is not dependant on any man, if God instructs a man to give to His Servants, He does so for the good of the giver.

The problem people have with tithing is because it has been presented as a means of buying God's blessings...It doesnt cost God anything to help a man, however, God wants man to be committed in serving Him, you wont go to Hell if you dont pay tithe but you may not receive the blessings that tithers receive. Now if a man of God says it is the 'ONLY' way by which God blesses a man then it is between him and God...tithing can be compared with Grace which has appeared to all men but which is available in different measures to all men...there are many instances in the bible analogous to tithing, for example Matthew 17:21 "This kind can come out by nothing, except by prayer and fasting"..where Jesus' disciples were trying to cast out a demon but needed a higher committment and power to achieve it...

If there is a place where God placed His might on the line, it is on the issue of tithing and if as a Christian you want to hold God to His word, in the new year 2018, be a faithful and cheerful tither and see if God would not prove himself true to His Word...Shallom

what about the injunction of giving tithes to the levites who were also required to give a tenth of what they receive...they were purely people consecrated to be priests but where not above tithing...Apostle Johnson Suleiman came out the other day saying He has increased his tithing to 15%....He also is a priest who receives tithe from the people of God..look my brother...we must see tithe as not giving to the man of God but fulfilling the Law handed down to us adherence to which will be made easier when our focus for giving is God and not man....What the man of God does with the tithe is between Him and God ...

Think about it, some pastors are for Tithing and some are against it. So, God’s words is debatable now abi? Who’s telling the truth now? The pastors that are for tithing or those against? Na wa o.
you're very confused. Try to know personally this God that is very real and he will solve the puzzle of your heart.
