goldfish80:I hope that just as the studies he carried out against Cameroon six months to the game we had against them during the WCQ paid off handsomely, so also the six months stretch of time to the WC would give him ample time to study our opponents and come up with winning strategies. He's surely on a good path like you said from the way he looked at things wholistically. |

One thing I would like the SE to avoid doing when playing again against Argentina with Messi is trying to commit fouls on him anytime he is making those runs in the face of the defense. I can see it was a deliberate policy for him to do it against Nigeria during the last world cup edition. He kept making those runs so that Nigerian players will commit fouls and give them freekicks, and you know what? the SE fell for it and he scored from one of those freekicks. They should engage him in neat tackles and zonal markings and possibly avoid every temptation of conceding freekicks in threatening positions. They even scored a freekick in the friendly without Messi. Another thing I observed in that game was how Di Maria kept shooting straight at goal anytime he gets the ball, and I can say it was also a deliberate policy. It was aimed at getting Enyeama to force corner kicks, and they scored a goal from cornerkicks as well. They knew the SE was not so good in defending against cornerkicks, and I am glad that it was one of those things that the present coach have worked on. But he may still need to look into it as they almost scored again with cornerkicks in the friendly. 7 Likes |

komekn:Iorfa winning MOTM awards how many seasons ago? Doesn't football have short memories again? So much for quantifiable objectivity. Well to the second limb @the bolded: truly it looks like that with Ekong and Balogun being the CB with Awaziem as sub but we've still not settled on who the other CB should be. I think Omeruo is good enough to take it. Instead of going about looking for inexperienced players in Germany. I don't trust Balogun not as per football quality but compusure. In fact if we were to play our first game against Argentina i would have said let Omeruo start ahead of him. Balogun suffers from jitters and I perceive that starting the first match at the World Cup will give him nerves. Relax, Iorfa will play for Nigeria but he wanted to be clever by half. If he had jumped at it from the beginning perhaps he would have cemented his place in the squad cos the NFF reached out to him early even before Awaziem was brought in. 5 Likes 1 Share |

goldfish80: Stop twisting my point. I would have preferred Nacho moving to a club that plays free flowing attacking football. A club with such history. Hence Nacho was in the process of securing the passport, he should have stayed one more year and get the passport. I would have preferred he stays one more season at City, get the passport and then move to a club that plays free flowing attacking football. Unfortunately, he has signed for Leicester City. So should he commit suicide? I am one of those who does not dwell on mistakes. I hope by the end of the year he gets the passport. If he is few months away, he should get that done with. With the passport, when he goes to another club, does well, an English Premier League club that desperately wants him can buy him back as one of the English players. If you like, continue your desperate attacks because of your bruised ego. 1 Like |

Ex-PSG Super Kid Ogbeche To Rohr: I Want To Play For Nigeria At 2018 World Cup Willem II striker Bartholomew Ogbeche is hoping his form in the Dutch Eredivisie will earn him a recall to the Super Eagles for the 2018 World Cup. The former Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid was one of the youngest players in Nigeria's squadlist at the 2002 World Cup, and featured in group matches against Argentina and Sweden. ''I do not expect anything, I stay calm and keep my feet on the ground, I just have to work hard, and if there is an invitation I would be very happy,'' Ogbeche told FOX Sports. ''I still hope for Nigeria to call me. That's not a secret, I'm a professional footballer and that's still a dream. ''It would be great, but if it does not come, I'm not disappointed, then I just keep focusing on Willem II and I try to continue to help. ''We have to believe in our chance at the World Cup, I hope to be there.'' Back home in Nigeria, everyone is paying attention to Bartholomew Ogbeche with the striker scoring 7 goals in his last four matches, including a hat-trick against VVV Venlo two weeks ago. kennysville: Rohr keeps hammering on it. Keep in mind, he worked in the Youth development sector of German Football. Our opinions is not as important as what Rohr wants. If he believes in a young squad, then he has his reasons. I suspect it is due to building a cohesive team for the 2022 World Cup. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: Kelechi will always be categorised as English home grown with or without passport. The home grown status is accorded to players who spent time within the English football academy. For instance, Mustafi is considered homegrown having spent just 1yr with the Everton youth team. It was even said in the report that the passport was for life after football. You argue so much with sentiments and assumption. Which one is bruised ego again? I dey laugh oh |

goldfish80: I know about the life after football report. I already talked about it earlier. It has to do with tax, Medicare, also benefits in travel and his children later having the passport through Nacho's Nationality. I also considered that but would have preferred Nacho staying in Man City and getting the passport, instead of a move for the passport. So saying I am analysing with sentiments is another subtle attack because of your bruised ego, and I must say, I am totally disappointed at how childish your mentality is. When I say buy Nacho back, I am talking in respect of Nationality, not home grown quota. I do not know the benefits but from my intuition, I feel a player with English Nationality holds heavy weight when it concerns buying. I wonder how that is sentimental analysis. Your bruised ego needs pampering. |

I can see the hype about Tammy Abraham have ceased and reality have set in. I've always maintained that guy was an average man. Statistically, Swansea managed just 4shots on target in the month of November when he lead their attack. The team have become much more dangerous going forward since Wilfred Bony have been reinstalled in the attack. On the back of this form, he won't make the English D-team if there was one. 2 Likes |

goldfish80: What is sentiments and assumption? You think analysing, we get everything right? When ai said I was afraid of Kayode going to Girona because of Machin, was I not assuming? When ai opposed Isaac Success leaving Spain, was ai not assuming? Hence Nacho has gone far in his fight for the passport, I believe getting it is the right step before moving for a club. Make the most of what he has around him. If it means joining the U23 team, then he does it. If he gets the passport this month, he moves out of England and rebuilds his status. Even at Leicester City, I have seen some improvements in Nacho's game. His crossing and free kicks. It shows the young man is working hard. He should keep improving his attributes. So please Mr. Bruised Ego. Keep attacking. 1 Like |
