NTEL Increases Monthly Plan Massively By 40% (from N12,500 To N17,500).. by damseremie(m): 10:18pm On Dec 08, 2017
NTEL Nigeria without informing it's customers quietly dumped the N12,500 Unlimited Smartphone Data Plan and have replaced it with a plan called Unlimited Family at a whooping N17,500.

This is after they had increased it from N10,000 to N12,500 about 5 months ago.
So that's two price increases in less than a year despite the fact their service has progressively gotten less reliable.
Considering a lot of people moved to NTEL only because of their affordable unlimited plan, if they don't handle this well, it will probably be time to move on for a lot of people
So far they didn't haven't officially informed customers and have refused to reply customers who have complained on twitter.

This doesn't make sense. If unlimited weekly is 3,750 then why would I pay 17,500 for monthly plan? 3,750 x 4 =15,000. I get to save 2,500. This should better be an error or I'm done with them. Na with one mind I use to pay that 12,500... If them do mistake increase am then I'm dumping them.

If it's 20gb then it's still ok. That's 80gb for a month, better than paying 17,500 for 90gb.

Ntel user here, what I did was to call the customer care and unleash my anger and frustration at whoever was on the other end of the call, I also threatened to dump the network if my subscription was not activated at 12,500.

They apologized, opened support ticket and credited me at 12500.

Typical of a Nigerian company. They don't care about their customers. Just increase without informing.

Most of my clients I put on ntel 70% already asking me to get them on another network (even if its not an unlimited plan) that Ntel network can be annoying at times. You keep hearing sorry we are having a network downtime.

Already thinking of moving them back to Spectranet sad
