Yoruba Politics Second To Non by ItsTutsi(m): 6:44pm On Dec 10, 2017 |
first of all let me introduce myself as a full blooded hausa/fulani indigine who has been following the political hype and euphoria on this forum, just to clarify and make things clear,I'm not an afonja or igbo/ipob as people will like to believe or insinuate..i have been following the chain of events leading to PDP's national convention that was concluded yesterday, with his Excellency Prince Uche Secondus triumphing and coming through as a worthy winner but what really baffles me and gets to my imagination is as to why did SW aspirant wait until the last minute before they agreed to all step down for a consensus candidate, they most have known,it will definitely be too late and impossible to garner support and votes for their candidate at that injury time..and coming from a sophisticated tribe, whose political calculation and understanding is second to non ,I just felt there has to be a logical and rational aspect to this issue well to my own understanding and perception,is like the SW political heavyweight are not interested in PDP anymore(excluding those in PDP camp) base on their nonchalant attitude compared to those from the SE and SS,coupled with the possibility of losing the VC slot in 2019..i think the SW proposely waited until the last minute to agree on a consensus, knowing it was impossible to get enough votes and win,in that case, they could have a valid excuse and reason to pull out and instigate the SW masses against the party..i wasn't surprised when George said Wike insulted the Yoruba and most apologised,I think it's all part of the grand plan to pull out en mass..non of the SW aspirant has congratulated and accepted defeat,I think that says a lot about the whole validation now the SE region will be forced to vote PDP with a promise of Senate President and since Buhari is.not an option...fayose is already in the game, that why he has insisted that no one can stop him from contesting if that's the case, the SW has pulled off another political masterstroke, kudus to them! 3 Likes 1 Share |

With a VP that has acted as president more than 2 times, Yorubas are stuck in APC and will support Buhari all the way. By sharing power with Osinbajo, PMB has bought the SW. What a wise man! |
Re: Yoruba Politics Second To Non by konoplyanka: 8:45pm On Dec 10, 2017 |
I see the hand of Fayose in all this..... He worked with wike to ensure the south west did not win that election knowing it would jeopardize his ambition of becoming the VP. And to those of you thinking the Vp should be zoned to the SE because they haven't been in aso rock in this democratic dispensation, remember it is only the SW that has not held the chairmanship position of the PDP in the south. So by not zoning it to the SW, you can't complain of not zoning the VP to the SE. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

The SW are the masters of politics of sell-out and backstabing. Wether they pull out of PDP or not, Atiku Abubakar will be president come 2019. Osinbajo will definitely be dropped and a SE will be selected as VP so as to woe SE and SS to vote for APC. PDP will definitely prefer a SW VP to balance the equation. So if they want to be relevant come 2019 PDP is the way to go. If with the above permutation APC wins N/SE yorubas will remain in limbo and any jigi jaga operation YEYE DE SMELL will visit them. FrancisDiote:This is this the dumbest analysis I've ever seen SE never voted bhuari before goodluck lost and now SW would leave fully vote Apc. Because pdp thought they are smart but our brothers would still remain there to monitor things in the party 3 Likes 1 Share |

ItsTutsi:you are quite right.i thought i was the only one that saw this. This was the Plan from over a week ago.when they saw through the game on ground. They had agreed to wait till the last minute.Mind you the resources being spent as of last week was greatly reduced, while that of the others increased. They wanted a solid reason to get the VP or leave. This is what the others dont understand. The South east cant get the VP ticket with these. Fayose was also aware of these whole Game. The South west was never keen on being the chairman.Their Target had always being the VP.They understand what it Means. They control the party structure in their state.Mind Kashmu's suspension was all part of the Plan.Go through Bode's George Statement you will have a new understanding of what is on ground. They know Nobody can defeat APC in 2019.I repeat No body. They know Atiku is Dead on Arrival. They Know The Yoruba's and The Core North will define the Presidential race in 2019. 3 Likes |

Yah,I feel like it's a trick and bait the SS/SE fell into by going against the initial micro zoning, now the SW will insist on contesting for the VP spot in 2019,and having the numeric advantage with the northerners, who were brought into the game knowing they will detest to have a SE as a VP konoplyanka: 1 Like |

FrancisDiote: Sadly for you and village square analysis, the APC did not drop Osinbajo in 2015 and the APC still won even though your SS and SE gave 99% of their votes to the PDP so, of what relevance are you to the APC.? You weren't relevant in 2015 and they ignored you accordingly and you are even more irrelevant per 2019 that they've managed to box you in a corner in the PDP as a regionl party so stop overstating your importance and relevance. 5 Likes |
